MLK was killed 40 years ago. McCain voted against the holiday 25 years ago, in 83.
40 years ago? Really? Is that why the Viet Cong tortured McCain, because he opposed the King holiday?
I think Hillary's team could use 2008 to work through these rookie missteps and be ready to put together a winning campaign in 2016. She'll be younger than McCain is now.
Free trade with Columbia? Not before we have free trade with Yale, Harvard and Cornell. It's only fair.
After that apology, McCain is guaranteed to get the black vote in November.
"Bid day for I’m sorries."
I start the bidding at ten dollars.
How can I get a job -- jobs -- like Mark Penn's? He's about as competent as a guy putting gasoline into his diesel car, but he keeps getting rewarded for it with millions and millions of dollars.
@6 hey I was going to make that joke, only I was thinking of opening the bid at a pair of dirty underwear and a used hairnet.
Actually I was wondering if "bid" was another of those journalist terms like "lede" that someone will quote the OED about...
Seriously, this Penn guy has been a disaster. Absolutely unbelievable she'd keep him on even this long. When she fails she can thank him.
I'll enjoy having Public Enemy's, "By the Time I get to Arizona" in my head the rest of the day.
The senator’s well known opposition to this trade deal is clear and was not discussed.
The government of Columbia is paying $300,000 to Senator Clinton's top-paid staffer and strategist to promote a free trade agreement--and he says that her opposition was not discussed? Hmmm. I'm thinking one of three things: (1) Penn is a bald-face liar, (2) Senator Clinton's support was discussed or (3) the government of Columbia should be demanding a refund.
Ditto, @10. Imagine them getting away with that video, the fused bomb and the poisoned chocolates, today.
"They never gave us any meaningful news," McCain said. "They told us the day that Martin Luther King was shot, they told us the day that Bobby Kennedy was shot, but they never bothered to tell us about the moon shot! So it was certainly selected news."

@11: you nailed it.
This story isn't just about where Mark Penn's loyalties lie; it's about where Hillary Clinton's truly lie.
