Well, since it's the young, edgy church in town, aren't they all youth pastors?

I recently found out somebody I know does Bible study with the Mars Hill crew... I thought he was better than that.

Most of the contact occurred in the back of his van

Getting fondled by a minister in the back of a van? Was it one of those vans with the little bubble window on the side? Can anyone think of something that can make this story creepier?

At Mars Hill, no volunteer, pastor, deacon or anyone is ever alone with a child, period.

I agree with Jeff - important distinction, the guy in North Carolina is the only not charged with something involving kids.

Yes...a van sized waterbed! With velvet curtains and Steppen Wolf playing in the 8 track player.

@8, now, if they stick to that policy they are acknowledging that pedophiles go where the kids are. i'm not sure you should berate them for that policy.

christians know they have desires that the struggle against, sexual or otherwise. that's a primary arguing point. is it healthier to repress most of those desires, or to engage in some of them in a healthy manner. the different is where the christian and the non-christian draw that line, the difference is in what each believes is healthy.
