Yes, I Said that Gay People are a Cancer that Will Destroy Our Civilization and They Must Not be Tolerated and They’re Coming for Your Children and They’re a Bigger Threat to Our Country than Islamic Terrorists…

…but that doesn’t mean I’m anti-gay or anything.

I caught a quick interview with Sally Kern, the now-infamous Oklahoma state representative, this morning on MSNBC. She said she wasn’t gay bashing. Here’s the audio again—can you detect any gay bashing in it?

SHE doesn't hate gay people, GOD does. And you know, she's just being a good Christian. Gotta love that God buffer.

I'm sure that many have pointed this out in the past, but isn't it interesting (and convenient) that douchebags like this always neglect trivial information like the fact that lesbians almost never contract HIV when they're discussing the "dangers" of "the lifestyle"?

Also, what the fuck is wrong with Oklahoma? I don't think that even any truly southern state--Mississippi and Alabama included--can touch OK in the numbing stupidity and outlandishness of its elected officials (Istook?, Inhofe?).

Merry Christmas!

they really do say this kind of stuff when they think nobody is listening. people (other than myself) should start going to these crazy politicians stump/scare speeches and recording them so they can be exposed as the bigots they are.

Hey, write and/or email her to your heart's content. But my guess is that, unless you're one of her constituants, i.e., an Okie from Muskogee, she's not going to pay too much attention to you.

And for her family to die, props to Poe.

God just gave us more sins.

Check it out - the Pope said being anti-environment is a sin today.

She is a sinner.

Oh God, why do they let people like this speak in public!

I would say all gluttons are a threat to society and our children! They should be banned from ever speaking in public or preaching. Fat kills!

They are so off and it's embarrassing, unloving and not Christian.

She's an oxygen bandit and she needs to die. Period.

But can anyone tell me why the administrators of the Victory Fund seem to feel that only LGBT leaders can be "fair minded"?

This is the kind of crap I heard until I came out at 28. Words you say hurt people... sometimes forever.

@15 - I certainly hope so. I think it's a totally bitchin' title/phrase, myself.

I listened to her 20 minute session with reporters. She does not apologize for what she said, and affirms that she believes all of the garbage she spewed. I think it is refreshing to see a hateful bigot who is not remorseful or backing down, even if it costs her a rep seat.

The gov. of NY should have done the same thing: Yeah, I sleep with prositutes, and it is awesome, I recommend it to everyone!!! The best part is I do it on tax-payer time and dime!!

As an Oklahoma resident, I can tell you there is a small minority here that is horrified at this shit. Believe me when I say my friends and I work hard to oust these people. The sad truth is, there are more of them than us. I wrote her, told her I thought she was wrong and that her hate will cost her. Unfortunately, that's going up against the 1,000 or so of my neighbors e-mailing to congratulate her.
