There are many more yokels in shoulder pads to take his place. I won't give a shit about them, either.

That interception against the Giants probably didn't go into his "plus" column, decision-wise.

The pronunciation of his last name has always bothered me. Why is the r allowed to sneak in front of the v? It makes no fucking sense.

While Madden Gently Weeps

Not just him - someone make sure Chris Berman doesn't get onto the roof.

Americans just don't know how to pronounce French words (or particularly want to know, for that matter). Witness Notre Dame. But hey, the Brits are even worse - I think it's a matter of national pride to them to see how badly they can mutilate the language.

Oh shit -- Wisconsin productivity must be plunging today -- is it too late to buy into cheese futures?!?

@2 - actually it is entirely appropriate. when he first started he was so wild he threw interceptions all the time. when i was growing up in green bay you used to see these foam bricks in peoples' living rooms. They were brett favre bricks, so when he threw a pick you could throw it at the tv.

favre was always a combination of stunning comebacks and turnovers under pressure. the only difference is that when he completed the pass it was a stunning play, and when he didn't it wasn't. but the gunslinger mentality was always there.

the thing about brett favre that is so great is that not only is he the best quarterback ever to play the game (tom who?!), but he's a down to earth and classy guy. in an era where over sized egos, greed, and dishonor (TO.... josh brown(zing!!), vick) is the norm, favre was different.

it will be a long time--maybe not even in my lifetime--before we see another quarterback that brings all those positive qualities to the game. i'm just happy I got to see it :D

in other news, griese has been sent to tampa bay! w00t!

never hated him, even when they beat the hawks.

i hate their "rasta" defensive backfield, though.

Overrated indeed. He has as many Super Bowl rings as Trent Dilfer.

YES!!! I picked up Aaron Rodgers in my Fantasy Keeper league late in the season and it looks like it's gonna pay off.
