But people get symbolic pardons all the time! It wasn't as if this affected the amount of time he served in prison.

Um, how is this more objectionable than either the Scooter Libby or Mark Rich pardons? Or the pardon of 16 Puerto Rican terrorists? Or the guy who was convicted of soliciting child pornography and child abuse whose sentence was commuted by Clinton? Or the Abrams, Weinberger, and McFarlane pardons that Bush, Sr. gave? Abrams went on to assist in a the fucking coup against Chavez in 2002. Or the commutation of G. Gordon Liddy by Carter?

Is your outrage meter really set so low that a symbolic pardon is pissing you off this much? You need to lay off the Hitchens.

it's not more objectionable then any of the other stupid pardons.. but i dont think it's any less objectionable. does being ordained excuse him? just seems to be a correlation between being a minister or priest and getting away with alot of crap. or was all those preists who got away with child molestation for years just a fad?
