No clue. Bet it's dumb, though.

It's the twin towers inside of an evergreen car freshener. Do I have to spell it out for you?

Whether or not you see a tree or a man and a woman kissing determines your credit score.

@5:

Or more likely a comment on the gross, rampant commercialization of 9/11...

Do they really sell 9/11 air fresheners... tacky.

A memorial to millions of dead Christmas trees?

Perhaps the money spent on evergreen air fresheners somehow goes to funding terrorists? You know, like pot.

Hmm... a Christmas tree, an HRC-type equality logo, and "never forget".

It's an appeal against the senseless slaughter of pine trees at Christmas. Morally equivalent to the holocaust, to those who have broken free from their speciesism.

Umm... do they start to grow back at Easter.

It's something about the War on Christmas ... but is it pro or con?

@14 - since they're made in China, it definitely goes to surpressing Tibetans ...

@16 The instant I saw it I thought "Pine 9/11". Maybe people are trying out their T-Shirt ideas before committing to the screen-printing...

I'm with Comte. It definitely looks to me like the flyer is poking fun at use of the "never forget" slogan and WTC towers imagery for sales of various things (invasion of Iraq, sontinued occupation of Iraq, erosion of civil liberties, suspension of habeas corpus, warrantless spying on Americans, torture, secret prisons, shoe-bomber checks, no big shampoo bottles on airlines, militarization of local police, etc.).

Naw, it's about oil. The car air freshener for the oil-sucking SUVs. Oil money funded the attack on the twin towers. Greed for more oil money pushed us into Iraq. Yada, yada, yada...

From the HRC logo and 'Never forget', I immediately assumed it was referencing their betrayal of the T in GLBT last year... but I really don't know how the air freshener would tie into all that.

My guess? If that mark above the first bar is just a blemish and not part of the printing, then it's not towers, but a pause symbol. Stop and remember what nature is like, before all that's left is artificial stuff.

I was surprised that everyone automatically assumed the bars represented the twin towers, because they look like candles to me. You can see the first one is a lit candle, the second is unlit. Though why two candles are inside a car freshener is beyond me. Yeah, the ideas above make more sense, but like I said, one of the candles is lit (note the weird little mark above the first one), which rules out any direct HRC or 9/11 comparison, in my opinion.

the mark on top of the left tower is the radio mast that was on one of the WTC towers.

Duh.

And also:

And may I say, get some Google-fu, people. Geez.

Oh, I thought it was 9/11 truth movement hacks making a statement about how they have to keep covering up the truth at 9/11 (the air freshener).

I love the way everyone is like, "it looks like a car air freshener"

Motherfucking DUH.

I bet some moody cornish student made it. All I saw was a "hip" looking sticker trying to be moody AND sell.

But I like "Pine/11" the best.

If those are candles those are the lamest candles to ever grace a vinyl sticker that also depicts an air freshener.

Someone says "plate" or "shrimp" or "plate of shrimp". Don't look for an explanation.

I can't believe people DIDN'T see the Twin Towers. "Never Forget?" Duh?

Pine 11 though... that's kind of amazing.

I lived in New York then. I get a free pass to joke about it now.
