I saw this in Ballard this week... (The text, if you can't read it due to the crappy cell phone camera quality, says "Never ForgetTM.") Can anyone enlighten me?...

I'm with Comte. It definitely looks to me like the flyer is poking fun at use of the "never forget" slogan and WTC towers imagery for sales of various things (invasion of Iraq, sontinued occupation of Iraq, erosion of civil liberties, suspension of habeas corpus, warrantless spying on Americans, torture, secret prisons, shoe-bomber checks, no big shampoo bottles on airlines, militarization of local police, etc.).

Comment by Annon

I was surprised that everyone automatically assumed the bars represented the twin towers, because they look like candles to me. You can see the first one is a lit candle, the second is unlit. Though why two candles are inside a car freshener is beyond me. Yeah, the ideas above make more sense, but like I said, one of the candles is lit (note the weird little mark above the first one), which rules out any direct HRC or 9/11 comparison, in my opinion.
