Animal release shouldn't count. It's cheaper to let animals be free than to keep them in cages and torture them.

Didja hear that Animal Liberation Front and al-Qaeda are joining forces, corporate-merger style? It's true! They'll now be called ALF-Qaeda.

Yuk yuk yuk!

They're usually good about leaving their calling cards when they pour sugar into the tanks of farmers' equipment down here. I'm not anymore sympathetic to their, er, "cause" than those farmers are.

Besides, if they keep burning down affluent exurbs, they are going to completely destroy the native habitat of the next generation of E.L.F.'ers. They might be the first group to terrorize themselves out of existence.

On the plus side, if these new arsons turn out to be ELF arsons and not insurance fraud, that will put us over the top! Woo hoo! Go WA!!! If you value those houses at a couple mill each, that will put us in second place behind CA, blowing right past that chicken shit Colorado!

Something to be proud of!

This same map is on the ELF wikipedia page. On that site it is noted as being from 2004.

Can you put up a graphic of damage caused by "home" developers? How much is the nature worth that those 5 oversized "homes" destroyed forever?

In each case of arson the houses, condos, ski resorts and etc. were rebuilt. How does doubling the materials usage and dumping tons of particulates into the atmosphere help the environment? There is no indication that anyone has not bought an SUV or a large house because of these people. In fact, I have a friend who went out and bought a mink coat because a PETA protester berated her for wearing a nice fake fur. She decided that if she was going to attacked for not hurting animals she might as well go the whole hog.

While protesting helped change industry attitudes towards using animals for product testing the decrease in such testing is largely economic because newer technologies were developed since animal testing is very expensive. Cell cultures can be used to test for reactions for a fraction of the cost of keeping cages full of animals. Released animals are always replaced so how does that help?

Although the goal of preserving the environment is laudable these ELFers are ineffectual and intellectually lazy.
