safety through advertising.
maybe it's a tax write-off.
11th Ave between Pike and Pine.
I say let people too stupid to walk and talk simultaneously injure themselves.
#2 beat me to it.
Put 'em in the tourist areas. Once when I was a kid, our family went to Chicago for a day and I was so impressed looking up at the buildings that I walked straight into a parking meter. That shit hurts.
I prefer the knitted pole cozies.
How about they use the money allocated for this to REPAVE THE FUCKING FREEWAY?
I'd be happy to let em repave the freeway, but I think some safety nags wouldn't like all the advertisements confusing the lane lines and other on-road instructions.
@7 - because that comes from the State Sales Tax at the pump.
Some parts of Seattle don't have sidewalks yet, you know. Maybe they could use some?
Amen, @9. I feel like my ass is going to get run over at least twice a day.
I wish they had those when I was learning to parallel park. It would have saved passenger side of my mother's buick from looking like a crush car at a monster truck rally.
The sidewalks around the nursing center I am rehabilitating at (145th & 15th NE) has the worst sidewalks if yu are in a wheelchair.
This was outed as a radio publicity stunt a couple of weeks ago. Next.
Belltown on 1st between Bell and Blanchard.
Oh hell. Just pad the people. It would probably be cheaper.
Good suggestion, @14.
i can has on mai streeeeet????
looks like an add for 811?
