For your amusement: An obese woman killed a child. NOW THAT"S ENTERTAINMENT

Meanwhile, this morning in Iraq, in Dan Savage's glorious war to bring democracy to the grateful people of Iraq, three American soldiers and two Iraqi civilians were blown to pieces by a roadside bomb.

It's OK folks, none of the dead were related to American politicians or brave neo-con and slog contributors and readers.

To be fair, a thin or average size person might also kill a child if he fell on him. Two year olds aren't large, and accidents happen.

This is a sad story. I feel bad for the child, his parents, and the woman who fell.

If I wanted just the news, I'd stick with the NY Times. I don't want my SLOG to stop telling me about all these little bits of life that aren't really "newsworthy." And I share Dan's horrified obsession with bad hetero parents, sexually hypocritic religious figures, and obesity.

I wonder if this woman will maybe try to battle her weight. Nothing like killing a relative with your uncontrollable massive body to inspire someone to diet.

same thing happened to my son when he was 2. my jiggling mountain of a mother fell on him in the street. when i mentioned how much worse it could have been, she said "i couldn't have seriously hurt him!" (the denial goes deep with the overwieghties). gee, if i was still speaking to this particular human disaster, i could send her this article as a rebuttal.

For #24 -- No heart turns to fat - stupid.

She most likely had heart problems from her child years. I had a cousin, big husky hard working guy, healthy as a horse and hung like one.(Yes first hand ) He dropped dead in the middle of the night fucking his wife in the side yard. Massive heart attack, no clues at all, 26 years old.

Get educated about the problems of heart disease and all of its ramifications.
