Ladies of Beacon Hill: be on your guard. This man is still out there somewhere. But take heart; he is a coward, and if you fight him he will run away. Take a picture if you can, and call police immediately if you are attacked.

Love, Greg on BH

Once again, we have been straightened out by our politically wise friends in Florida.

"I say a lot of things -- millions of words a day -- so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement," she (Clinton) said.

Case in point...because that many words in a day is impossible.

The cost efficiency argument on those toilets is a red herring. Because the campaign to remove the automatic toilets is part of a bigger campaign to get rid of all public toilets. Which is about making the lives of really poor people about as miserable as you can possibly get (because if we help them we might see them). Also, as McIver says, automatic toilets motivate people to use drugs and work as prostitutes. People probably choose to be homeless too because of them. Just think of all the money we could be putting into subsidizing some person's condo instead!

1,000,000 words/day
= 41,666 words/hour (for 24 hours solid)
= 694 words/minute
= 11 words/second

Awesome!

in order to say one million words in a day (let alone millionss), one would have to utter 11.57 words a second. if she said two million words a day, it would be a staggering 23.15 words a second.

If somebody says "millions and millions" it means "an unusually large number." Normal humans use figures of speech like that. If you are calculating how many words per second that might be, you have OCD.

@13 - "hils" could say your comment (35 words) in 3.03 seconds if she was calibrated for 1 million words a day.

Ahhh, Gore/Obama, nice thought but will never happen.

Enjoy McCain for at least 4 years folks, just enjoy it cause that is what we are heading for

Gore was NOT a good candidate in 2000 and would not be a good candidate now. He's much better as a celebrity activist than a politician.

Hillary Clinton has ruined her reputation sufficiently that I'd take any version of Al over her, but Obama is a much better candidate in every way.

Can we just stop talking about Gore please. I keep hearing people saying they want Gore. He's said he won't run, the people have voted and said they don't want him (admittedly arguably due to voting issues) and we're done with him. Move on! People are voting Obama or Hillary. Does anyone really think for a second that if it comes down too close between the two of them that they'll throw them both out and bring in a third party that's already proven that he can't win the election?

Now, Obama/Richardson is where it's at. Richardson would bring in the Hispanic vote and He fills in where Obama's lacking in experience. They're a very strong pair.
