Welcome back Josh! I can do this too: All the men who voted for Obama in Washington are misogynists and all the men who voted for Clinton in Ohio are enlightened!
This is fucking stupid.
Show us the realistic scenario whereby Clinton wins the nomination without resorting to superdelegates to overturn the vote of the elected delegates.
Yes - prove it! Damn you doubters!!
Yes KUDOS to Josh for keep vacation vacation, and OLY Intel where it belongs.;)
Hillary has been exaggerating her record as First Lady, not as Senator -- or so says that article.
Clinton said a few days ago (recorded on video) that during her trip to Bosnia 9 years ago, she was under sniper fire when they landed at the airport. Too bad it was a lie, confirmed by the journalists who were there.
I don't see Obama making up stories to make himself look brave and heroic. He doesn't have to.
I'm voting for the candidate who doesn't outright lie to me and thinks they can get away with it.
Except you don't do it very well.
Much of the fall out analysis on Ohio (and also sizing up Pennsylvania) was about the "Archie Bunker Vote."
You hardly hear as much about the Bobby Riggs vote or whatever it would be in North Dakota, Idaho etc.
Read the Post article I linked.
Don't you think that's something of a strawman, Josh? Although the polls did show a surprising percentage of caucasians in Ohio citing race as a deciding factor, that's not been the majority of discussion on slog or anywhere else. There has been discussion of potential race baiting from the Clinton campaign, the impact of Obama's speech, the realistic chances of Clinton campaign winning, the harm negative campaigning and such a long primary has done, the ups and downs in the polls, and criticism of Clinton for her exaggeration of the dangers of her Bosnia trip. I don't recall much talk of how voting for one candidate automatically made one a racist/mysogynist.
So, how does backing a candidate, Sen Clinton, who lies about being under sniper fire, feel?
Don't you love vids? They make it so FUN!
Hey Patrick.... Way to go buddy....NOT!
Who the heck do you think you are ripping off NOrm Bowler and myself and our logo for Low Earth Orbiter?
Maybe your responsible for the meltdown in the Woodinville fires and the French Billionaire Bank scandle by being the worst ripoff of a logo with a puffy face.
and by the way.... please contact Norm Bowler at myspace.com...
and I encourage any other responsible myspacer to report this slog comment as to this may be the potential reason why somebody is getting heavy fines in the advertising department of CLEAR CHANNEL...
and make sure you contact AIRPORT SECURITY at SEA TAC AIRPORT so we can KEEP JEN GRAVES at THE STRANGER and she isn't traded to NEW YORK like JOHN RICHARDS of KEXP....
unless of course she wants two.
I saw white smoke.
Obama was named the new Pope while Clinton was having her vaginal fangs removed.
How could we all have been so foolish!!
Save America - fight more over nothing!!
Who needs Iraq when we can piss about which millionaire will lie to us next?
Why should I believe you when you say Clinton had her vaginal fangs removed?
because howard dean whispered it to me last night after we made love with gov patterson and his wife in rehab.
Hillary just wants to be president - she wants your vote not your love. Most of this Slog suffers from a Henny Penny complex and would expire of aridity if she summarily dropped out.
None of these guys dropped out before the convention in July of 1960 - and the Republic survived. Sorry to belabor the obvious, but some of you are due to collect a clue.
Four weeks before the Los Angeles convention, the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination seemed to go underground as the contenders, their aides and strategists were busier than an ant colony in their quests for delegates and deals. TIME correspondents, checking the politicians and delegates across the nation, found Jack Kennedy still well ahead despite a psychological post-summit uneasiness about his youth and lack of diplomatic experience, counted up a minimum 620 first-ballot votes for Kennedy. (Needed to win: 761.) In second place was Lyndon Johnson, with 410½ votes, grounded on the rock of the Solid South. Stuart Symington (104½ votes), Adlai Stevenson (41) and Hubert Humphrey (51½) trailed. If the voting goes into a second ballot, Kennedy's indicated strength should carry him over the finish line with 765½ votes. But if the Kennedy bandwagon should be wrecked, Stuart Symington, with widely scattered support all over the nation, probably stands to gain the most.
Nice to see they're taking that first step.
And meanwhile So-Not-God's-Will-of-Seattle seems to be auditioning for the role of SNL's Penelope [Kristen Wiig].
Kristen's hot, @17. Thanks for the nod.
Josh, you've been on vacation in more respects than one. Aimee Curl at Seattle Weekly has been kicking the ass of The Stranger. Her recent reports on Carrasco and Davis are first-rate.
