News Major Scandal Engulfs Leader of Opposition Party in UK

onA prominent British politician was caught—on tape!—breaking a series of… hymens? Ah, no. Traffic laws. While riding his bike to work. Who does he think he is? ECB?
Here’s the Telegraph on the scandal…
David Cameron has apologised after he was filmed apparently breaking a series of traffic rules while cycling to Westminster. The Tory leader was photographed by the Daily Mirror, riding the wrong way up a one-way street, going the wrong way round a “Keep left” bollard, and crossing the white line at a red traffic light.
He was also seen riding across a toucan crossing for cyclists and pedestrians while the signal was red.
According to the paper, the incursions all occurred during Mr Cameron’s 30-minute bike ride from his home in Notting Hill, west London, to the House of Commons.
The pictures are an embarrassment for the Conservative leader, who has made much of his enthusiasm for cycling to underscore his “green” credentials.
The story is totally dominating today’s news cycle—get it?—in the UK. The BBC has the video.

Toucan crossing???
Was he also videotaped picking the cherry bits out of his Froot Loops?
There are gasps of horror and monocles dropping into champagne glasses all over the British Isles.
Toucan crossing - yeah, bizarre isn't it. We also have zebra and pelican crossings.
Oh, the indignity of it all! Now I shall be turned away from all future fox hunts! Yoiks!
Wow. And I thought the media picked on our politicians for some lame shit.
this seals it. cyclists are assholes.
Cyclist arrogance knows no nationality.
Are. You. Fucking. Kidding. Me?!?!?
Fox hunting was done away with years ago, more as an anti-gun thing than an anti-hunting thing. And to the great consternation of a considerable amount of the populace.
The mayor of Chicago is an avid cyclist. Maybe if I follow Daley around with a video camera and catch him breaking traffic laws there will be a similar scandal here in the US? What do you think?
He could never hang in Seattle unless he could simultaneously produce dirty looks.
Can you imagine that being the biggest political scandal in the US?! Those Brits are doing just fine if you ask me. It'd be nice if our biggest scandal was something so benign.
Say what you will about American conservatives, but they'll never be caught breaking any laws while cycling or using transit.
Zzzzzzzzzzzz...
Off with his head!!!
Saying "David Cameron was caught breaking traffic regulations on his bike" has a lot more impact than "some politician from britain was caught breaking traffic regulations on his bike."
This is really only of interest to people who know who david cameron is anyway, so there's no need to pander.
Or how bout "Tory leader" even?
@12 - excellent point.
@1 everything is fair game for you sloggers to make sport of eh? Your war monger leader Dan Savage advocates a war that he will never have to fight in and you guys think the resulting carnage is just something else to have a little fun with. You guys are the hipster version of Rush Limabaug's dittoheads.
Here you go sloggers! Have some fun with this. Frost in Wisconsin--riff on that!

I advocated, past tense. Me and Hillary both.
This is why having cameras everywhere in your society is a BAD idea ...
All I can seem to think of here is Bill Hicks : "We're the hooligans...."
