Oh, boy. Let's get down to it: At Town Hall, we have a sort of Pakistan 101 lecture, headed by Ethan Casey, and someone who follows the events in Pakistan "very closely." At the Nordic Heritage Center, Barbara Sjoholm is reading from her new book The Palace of the Snow Queen: Winter Travels in Lapland. There will also be slides. I have never found slides to be that entertaining, but if you like travel slides, this will be the event for you.
Comment by Paul Constant

Hey josh @4. Thanks for the kind words, but what part of best reading of the night doesn't sound like a recommendation? Unless you thought I was being sarcastic, in which case: Sorry. I wasn't being sarcastic. Also, we've got stars on the recommended readings on the calendar page, which is always linked to at the end of the post. Some nights, as with Saturday last weekend, there's nothing I'd send my worst enemy to: I'll try to be clearer about those days. Thanks for reading.
