I’d recommend Blue C in Fremont. Hurry.

iSushi in Issaquah is the best sushi I've had, and much closer to you. It's even on a bus line!

Penultimate? Why? You can keep going for almost 3 more hours? Shit, all this Slogging and not even one person has mentioned pit bulls, fat people or Arabs cutting peoples' heads off. . . .

Shit! Sorry I'm late. I stepped out for a sandwich.

Slogger Big SVEN supports Hillery Clinton and Hillery ClinTon supported teh war in Iraq. Nearly 4,000 troops have died in BIG SVEn’s war. When will big sVen apologui9ze for supporting Hillery cLinton?

Cpl. Thomas L. Hilbert, of Venus, Texas, a small town 30 miles south of Dallas. Hilbert, 20, and two other soldiers serving with the 9th Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Bliss, near El Paso, died after their vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device on Sept. 6. Hilbert's sister, BillieJo Alexander, told the El Paso Times that her brother had already reserved a hotel room in Las Vegas to celebrate his 21st birthday with his family in January.

So why don\\\'t we apportion Big Sven his fair share of the carnage in Iraq? Let\\\'s arbitrarily assign him responsibility for the death of, say, an eight year old Iraqi girl. That sounds about right doesn\\\'t it? That still leaves 649,999 dead Iraqis to be apportioned out to Bush and the neo-cons and other war supporters.

Mashiko 100% validates the existence of West Seattle. Seriously, Hajime is GOD with a KNIFE.

iSushi is surprisingly good (for those who think the suburbs are no place to find decent sushi).

Jessica- iSushi? I'll try it. Can it be better than Japan Ginger (Front St near Mills Music)? At JG they don't speak any English, so if you call the phone just rings and rings and rings...

@8 - Rev Dr, I'm right there with you in terms of traditional homestyle japanese. But for bleeding edge technique, you gotta try Mashiko.

Will the last person to contract a foodborne illness from eating lukewarm sushi off a conveyor belt please not call me for my sympathy? And leave Maneki to the real sushi lovers?

Blue C is the worst of the worst. I'd rather eat the shrinkwrapped stuff from the supermarket; at least I'd get some variety. I LOVE Kisaku.

The water wars are just starting to heat up. The farmers need to be cut off, but politically it may be impossible.

The Blue C? Really? Gah! The Blue C is like the Olive Garden of sushi restaurants. A chain of restaurants that is better than McDonnald's, but otherwise uniform and mundane. There must be a dozen better sushi restaurants in Seattle.

Try Toyoda Sushi in Lake City, for one.

Sven@7: it's the only place in Issaquah I'll get sushi. It's around the corner from Michael's by PCC. However, I've heard that Teriyaki Bowl by Safeway has good sushi-- their teriyaki is awesome.

If you want to just get a little bit of expensive sushi, Seastar in Bellevue has really good sushi, but it's also insanely expensive. The Washington roll is killer.

Jessica, and all other sushi lovers. Thanks! Though my butterfly is crushed a little bit w.r.t. Blue C. Hopefully iSushi will help me learn to love again.

California Rolls are safe, they don't use Salmon, they use shrimp.

Uhm, I mean crab, not shrimp.

Sven do you even eat sushi? It would appear not if you recommend that place in Fremont.

Hit up Shiro's in Belltown, sit at the sushi bar and have Shiro just feed you whatever is best for the night. Tell him you want the Shiro special, and that your meal is in his hands.

You'll never be able to eat normal sushi again.

Though you might have to wait a half hour to get a seat at the bar...

real California rolls don't use crab, they use imitation crab.

iSushi is fucking disgusting. The place has this oily, skeevy feel to it, and they have some of the foulest, mayonnaise-iest looking concoctions ever to be called sushi. Avoid at all costs.

Kisaku is the best. Then comes Saito's.

Blue C got my kids eating sushi, which is a feat for a 4 and 7 year old. They'll eat just about any cut of fish now. And there are only 2 restaurants. Hardly a chain.

Big Sven,
Thanks for hanging in there for all the anti-Hillary venting. I liked your volcano post but wasn't sure what to do with it. I think I understand it better now.

I'm going to have some Sushi with my family this weekend and count my blessings.

Hope we can stand arm in arm on the barricades in November.

I look forward to it, cracked. And at the SLOG victory party afterwards.

Reality Check@17, I actually have been to Shiro's. Awesome sushi. Pricey, but very good.
