[Insert tasteless joke involving the song "I've Had The Time Of My Life" here.]

Too soon?

Page Six isn't any more reliable than The National Enquirer. MSNBC.com is reporting that he does have cancer, but his prognosis is not as dire as has been reported by the tabloids.

4: If it's Pancreatic cancer then his future is dire indeed. It turns your insides to mush and fluids, you blow up whilst whithering away, and then you choke to death on your own mucus.

6: Yes, pancreatic cancer is bad news. I was just trying to encourage Ari to use information sources more reliable than Page Six to confirm stories like this.

a friend of mine is on a message board that Patrick Swayze's assistant posts on all the time and apparently, this is true, (at least the cancer part; not sure about the 5 weeks to live part)

sad.

The real tragedy is that the library doesn't have a single copy of Roadhouse.

I stopped looking IN the mirror and started looking THROUGH the mirror, and that's when I finally saw my ego-reflection.

The Page Six story isn't even internally consistent. The first paragraph says his rep "confirmed" that he may only have weeks to live, but the statement quoting the flack disavows anything about his prognosis.

I can never get enough of the Patrick Swayze vs. Chris Farley Chippendale's Dance-Off skit from SNL. The best.
