The polls are now closed in Ohio and the Democratic race there is too close to call, according to CNN. On the Republican side, McCain—no surprise—is the winner. Some exit poll data to chew on here and here. UPDATE: More exit polls here and here. One interesting finding: The ability to "bring needed change" beats "experience" as the most important quality in a candidate by about a 20-point margin in Ohio and by about 15 points in Texas, according to preliminary exit poll results. Another: 58-percent of voters told exit pollsters in Ohio that the economy was their most important...

I don't see how a tie today is going to be good news for Hillary.

Except maybe for Pennsylvania, and PA is a long-shot for a decisive Hillary win if today is a tie, I'm gathering the remaining states are going to go to Obama.

Oregon may end up wrapping this up, which will be quite a miracle -- especially given that Supertuesday has almost always locked things up.

Yeah but Obama is not the incumbent president here nor is Hillary. IMHO, Carter proved to be a non-so-hot president the preceding 4 years in that election.

You could ffwd to 2012, assuming a Dem wins, and call that the scenario for Reagan2K if you want to worry about that for that long, I suppose.
