O, Jesus, I Knew It, I So Totally Told You So…

posted by on March 7 at 7:51 AM

…and now my head is exploding.

I just stumbled upon this truly horrifying thing, from Current.com:

WILL THE 2008 ELECTIONS BE CANCELLED?

Bush and Cheney have set up the architecture to cancel the election entirely if a state of emergency is declared. Three possible scenarios spun correctly would result in a state of emergency.

Those three “scenarios”? War with Iran (wait for it…), the assassination of a presidential candidate (PEOPLE! GUARD OBAMA WITH YOUR LIFE!), and/or another “terr’ist attack”. Um.

I’m going to go crawl into a hole and die now.

If this is true…well. God help us all!

We've been through this before, in '04 and '06. It's a scary thought, but still seems a bridge too far for even the Bushies.

Yeah they *could* but it will never happen. But I would advise we all get ready to get the fuck out of the country if it does happen. At least Seattle is three miles to the border.....

Ironically though, most Americans would not think a thing about it. They would be scared into thinking such a take over would be needed to protect "freedom".

Even if Hope® or the Clintonator makes it to the White House, we're still gonna be in Iraq and Afghanistan for a zillion years, the richest 1% of Americans are gonna keep gettin' richer while the rest of us hit the breadlines, and those skeezy moronic fucktards in Congress are gonna keep gang-banging the Constitution and Bill of Rights like they're in the shower in a Korean prison.

"McCain/Clinton 2008" And we all know that is what she is betting on if she is not the top of the ticket.

We are going to bomb Iran, either Bush or McCain or Clinton. Only Obama has the brains NOT to start World War III.

But since Americans are not known for voting for brains (see election 2004 and 2000 as examples) I expect World War III (which will be nuclear as well) by May 2009 at the latest.

Are you going to republish every stupid rumor you read online? Personally I think Bush is done/worn-out/tired and will be glad to be out of office.

But don't forget to tell us about the concentration camps that Halliburton is building to house all the people that object to Bush canceling the elections.

I agree that McCain would be the more likely target of a political murder by some dupe of Bush-Cheney. Especially if the murderer is killed on the spot and if McCain were dumb enough to choose a religious fanatic as a running mate who would inherit the top spot on the GOP ticket.

Don’t believe one optimistic word from any public figure about the economy or humanity in general. They are all part of the problem. Its like a game of Monopoly. In America, the richest 1% now hold 1/2 OF ALL UNITED STATES WEALTH. Unlike ‘lesser’ estimates, this includes all stocks, bonds, cash, and material assets held by America’s richest 1%. Even that filthy pig Oprah acknowledged that it was at about 50% in 2006. Naturally, she put her own ‘humanitarian’ spin on it. Calling attention to her own ‘good will’. WHAT A DISGUSTING HYPOCRITE SLOB. THE RICHEST 1% HAVE LITERALLY MADE WORLD PROSPERITY ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. Don’t fall for any of their ‘humanitarian’ CRAP. ITS A SHAM. THESE PEOPLE ARE CAUSING THE SAME PROBLEMS THEY PRETEND TO CARE ABOUT. Ask any professor of economics. Money does not grow on trees. The government can’t just print up more on a whim. At any given time, there is a relative limit to the wealth within ANY economy of ANY size. So when too much wealth accumulates at the top, the middle class slip further into debt and the lower class further into poverty. A similar rule applies worldwide. The world’s richest 1% now own over 40% of ALL WORLD WEALTH. This is EVEN AFTER you account for all of this ‘good will’ ‘humanitarian’ BS from celebrities and executives. ITS A SHAM. As they get richer and richer, less wealth is left circulating beneath them. This is the single greatest underlying cause for the current US recession. The middle class can no longer afford to sustain their share of the economy.. Their wealth has been gradually transfered to the richest 1%. One way or another, we suffer because of their incredible greed. We are talking about TRILLIONS of dollars. Transfered FROM US TO THEM. Over a period of about 27 years. Thats Reaganomics for you. The wealth does not ‘trickle down’ as we were told it would. It just accumulates at the top. Shrinking the middle class and expanding the lower class. Causing a domino effect of socio-economic problems. But the rich will never stop. They will never settle for a reasonable share of ANYTHING. They will do whatever it takes to get even richer. Leaving even less of the pie for the other 99% of us to share. At the same time, they throw back a few tax deductable crumbs and call themselves ‘humanitarians’. Cashing in on the PR and getting even richer the following year. IT CAN’T WORK THIS WAY. Their bogus efforts to make the world a better place can not possibly succeed. Any 'humanitarian' progress made in one area will be lost in another. EVERY SINGLE TIME. IT ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT WORK THIS WAY. This is going to end just like a game of Monopoly. The current US recession will drag on for years and lead into the worst US depression of all time. The richest 1% will live like royalty while the rest of us fight over jobs, food, and gasoline. Crime, poverty, and suicide will skyrocket. So don’t fall for all of this PR CRAP from Hollywood, Pro Sports, and Wall Street PIGS. ITS A SHAM. Remember: They are filthy rich EVEN AFTER their tax deductable contributions. Greedy pigs. Now, we are headed for the worst economic and cultural crisis of all time. SEND A “THANK YOU” NOTE TO YOUR FAVORITE MILLIONAIRE. ITS THEIR FAULT. I’m not discounting other factors like China, sub-prime, or gas prices. But all of those factors combined still pale in comparison to that HUGE transfer of wealth to the rich. Anyway, those other factors are all related and further aggrivated because of GREED. If it weren’t for the OBSCENE distribution of wealth within our country, there never would have been such a market for sub-prime to begin with. Which by the way, was another trick whipped up by greedy bankers and executives. IT MAKES THEM RICHER. The credit industry has been ENDORSED by people like Oprah, Ellen, Dr Phil, and many other celebrities. IT MAKES THEM RICHER. Now, there are commercial ties between nearly every industry and every public figure. IT MAKES THEM RICHER. So don’t fall for their ‘good will’ BS. ITS A LIE. If you fall for it, then you’re a fool. If you see any real difference between the moral character of a celebrity, politician, attorney, or executive, then you’re a fool. WAKE UP PEOPLE. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. The 1% club will always say or do whatever it takes to get as rich as possible. Without the slightest regard for anything or anyone but themselves. Reaganomics. Their idea. Loans from China. Their idea. NAFTA. Their idea. Outsourcing. Their idea. Sub-prime. Their idea. The commercial lobbyist. Their idea. The multi-million dollar lawsuit. Their idea. $200 cell phone bills. Their idea. $200 basketball shoes. Their idea. $30 late fees. Their idea. $30 NSF fees. Their idea. $20 DVDs. Their idea. Subliminal advertising. Their idea. Brainwash plots on TV. Their idea. Prozac, Zanex, Vioxx, and Celebrex. Their idea. The MASSIVE campaign to turn every American into a brainwashed, credit card, pharmaceutical, love-sick, couch potatoe, celebrity junkie. Their idea. All of the above shrink the middle class, concentrate the world’s wealth and resources, and wreak havok on society. All of which have been CREATED AND ENDORSED by celebrities, athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, attorneys, and politicians. IT MAKES THEM RICHER. So don’t fall for any of their ‘good will’ ‘humanitarian’ BS. ITS A SHAM. NOTHING BUT TAX DEDUCTABLE PR CRAP. Bottom line: The richest 1% will soon tank the largest economy in the world. It will be like nothing we’ve ever seen before. and thats just the beginning. Greed will eventually tank every major economy in the world. Causing millions to suffer and die. Oprah, Angelina, Brad, Bono, and Bill are not part of the solution. They are part of the problem. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE HUMANITARIAN. EXTREME WEALTH HAS MADE WORLD PROSPERITY ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. WITHOUT WORLD PROSPERITY, THERE WILL NEVER BE WORLD PEACE OR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE. GREED KILLS. IT WILL BE OUR DOWNFALL. Of course, the rich will throw a fit and call me a madman. Of course, their ignorant fans will do the same. You have to expect that. But I speak the truth. If you don’t believe me, then copy this entry and run it by any professor of economics or socio-economics. Then tell a friend. Call the local radio station. Re-post this entry or put it in your own words. Be one of the first to predict the worst economic and cultural crisis of all time and explain its cause.. WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE.

I've been saying this for years. Why would they consolidate all the power in the Executive branch and then just turn it over.

Naomi Wolf wrote a book about it. They've been given the power to mobilize the National Guard and move troops from one state to another, which is unprecedented. They've also built a private Christian army (Blackwater).

Assination of McCain makes a lot more sense. First, Bush and Cheney have never liked McCain. Second, there's a lot less suspicion, and god knows the media are incapable of doing any investigation.

I'm not sure it would require a terrorist attack happen. In a couple months, they'll be dragging the threat meter back out and start building the fear. People haven't been paying attention if they think that Bush and Cheney have any respect for the Constitiution and Bill of Rights.

On the other hand, United Technologies buying Diebolt (and that is still their name to the a'hole who tried to correct me) might be a positive development.

@31: Yes, O.A., you are so correct.

In fact, you’ll always be correct but only with two facts. It’s possible (very remotely but still possible) that Bush will cancel the elections and hence there is a small probability that it will happen. You get these premise facts by default, and I’ll always loose this debate because you’ll extrapolate those two facts to proportions only enjoyed by your fellow conspiracy theorists in la-la-land.

Actually, what is going on is that those so enraged by Bush are starting to worry about the transference of their anger once he leaves office. Where will it go? How will that passionate anger manifest itself? Those are the really interesting questions here. You’re worried about missing that anger. You will have to go through withdrawals and that makes you relish stories like this – which have been going on since last summer actually.

Wow. This board is unlike any other that I've posted on. So many people more worried about their 'exibitionist' status than any of the valid points in my rant. Tell you what. Don't take my word for it. Go look up what Albert Einstein had to say about extreme wealth and unbridled capitalism. Or you could just accept the challenge and get the opinion of any professor of economics or socio-economics. If thats too much work, then you could just play a game of Monopoly. If you still don't get it, then have your mother check your diaper. C'mon people. This is not brain surgery. Its simple math. As far as my style goes. It stays. I'm not here for any kind of praise or popularity contest. I'm here to make as many people as possible understand. Maybe, if more people in the field used plain english instead of always trying to impress others with their vocabulary, more people would understand. As far as the 'mainstream' media goes. They are part of the problem. They don't stand for truth or justice of any kind. They stand only for ratings and profit. About the motivation behind my rant. C'mon people. You have to look deeper. Put down the 'Psychology for Dummies' book and look at the big picture. This is not about jealousy, envy, bitterness, or anything like that. Its not about any political party. Its not about socialism or any kind of bash on the developed world. Its about our future. If we do not take a stand against this growing epidemic of greed worldwide, then we are doomed. and don't feed me that 'set an example' 'be positive' shit. Thats been tried many times. There is no 'nice' way to deal with greed. It simply must be addressed for what it truly is. Nothing but self-centered, self-serving, black hearted evil. IT WILL BE OUR DOWNFALL.

Hi Truxter, I'm a therapist so you may not want to listen but I have something many other therapists don't have. that is, I am willing to call it like I see it. I'm afraid the style issue is a valid one. If this was really as important to you as you claim-world destruction and all that-, then you would be working to make your message as accessible as possible. Your take it or leave it attitude, verbosity and repetition speak to your own issues rather then the ones you so loudly declaim. No compromise on rhetoric means no compromise in so many other ways.
There are some hints about it in your writing. The psychology for dummies comment for one. So I take it you have been to a mental health worker and you thought he was a dummy? It made you angry didn't it? Worse still they could tell you were angry. But you know what they were thinking? No not that you were crazy per se. they likely felt bad for you because you were obviously scared. scared of so many things. and you know what you have good reason to be scared, because the world is a scary place. the question is how to cope with it. Would you like to feel better? You could still be active in your political beliefs but maybe you could sleep better at night. would that be such a bad thing? Why don't you go back and have a talk with them? They can help you learn to talk to people without chasing them away and help you cope better with the fear.

LMSW. We'll have to disagree on the 'style' issue. I have mine. You have yours. As far as my own backround goes. Its not relevant. Your profile of me was half dead on and half way off. I am stressed. More than I could possibly express. I've been worried about our future for years. Now, its all I think about. All day and all night. I know that a global depression is comming. At this point, its just about mathematically impossible to prevent. I know that it will bring about chaos, suffering, and death. It will further aggrivate every problem of modern society. So I have damn good reason to be obsessed. But I'm not in this for myself. There is a world of injustice out there as we speak. A serious threat to our future. and the vast majority still don't see it. So I'll be a jerk. I'll be loud and obnoxious. I will do whatever it takes short of criminal action to make people understand. As far as the wise-ass comment goes, it was directed only at those who absolutely refuse to look any deeper than jealousy, envy, or anything like that. I can't begin to express how disgusted I am by those generic assumptions. I will no longer show an ounce of respect to those who make them. As far as your concern for me goes, it seems genuine. I'm sure that you are very good at what you do. But I don't need any therapy. Yes I'm angry. Yes. I'm worried. But I am also very diciplined. This cause is by far, the most important that I have ever stood for. I will not shut up about it until the day I die. Which will most likely be well into the worst economic and cultural crisis of all time. Its comming. The stage has been set almost entirely by the 1% club. I won't harm one hair on their rotten heads. But I will persecute them until the day I die. I'm not saying that the rest of us are innocent. We're not. But greed is relative. Still, it is by far, the most corrupt and intoxicating element of modern society. Its already ruined our government, the legal system, and the health care industry. Its wreaked havok in nearly every industry worldwide. Soon, it will tank the largest economy in the world. Followed by every major economy worldwide. I've had it. I'm totally fed up. I don't care what happy celebrity face you put on it. What calculated PR stunts are made to cover it up. Its still just greed. Nothing but self-centered self-serving black hearted evil. IT WILL BE OUR DOWNFALL.

The Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security have begun examining ways to postpone November’s presidential election in the event of an attack near election day. This according to a report in Newsweek.

Last week the Department of Homeland Security asked the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel to analyze what legal steps would be needed to permit the cancellation and rescheduling of the election.

This came in response to a request from the chief of the newly created US Election Assistance Commission for Congress to pass emergency legislation to empower the Commission to cancel and reschedule elections.

A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security told Newsweek “We are reviewing the issue to determine what steps need to be taken to secure the election.”

Even if the Bushies couldn't pull it off, it's interesting that most of us seem to believe they WOULD do such a thing if they could. Because that's the kind of people they are.

Forget actual perpetration of criminal acts such as provoking a war or shooting a candidate to create a pretext for a crackdown on liberty in 'the homeland'. An administration that forces us, by its perfidy on so many fronts, to worry about such possibilities deserves to be removed from power for that reason alone. We shouldn't have to even be considering this.

Interesting, also, that some who take these conspiracy theories seriously think it's crazy to suspect, say, that Cheney had foreknowledge of 9/11.
