As much as I am tired of piling on to our property taxes - the Pike Place Market definitly needs fixing. The bathrooms are disgustingly pitiful with those little mini-doors to the stalls. Ugh! Poor tourists.

@3- Are you kidding? MD-80. McDonnell Douglas, which merged with Boeing in 1997. You can bet most (if not all) American's MD-80s were built before the merge (and before the line was retired in 1999), so McDonnell Douglas - MD - was the manufacturer. MD.

/threadjack/

Is anyone else watching Skins? It airs in England on something called E4, and I honestly don’t know what to make of it. A little birdie brings me the vids via the intertubes.

http://www.e4.com/skins/

Skins is the tumultuous, fictional story of a hot young group of high-schoolers (A-levelers?) growing up in modern day Bristol, and it’s an unholy mash-up of Metrosexuality, The O.C. and Pretty in Pink. The parents are definitely in the John Hughes style: Mostly absent and completely oblivious to their kids’ notorious drinking, dope-smoking and screwing. Each episode is named after and told from a different character’s perspective, and the results are often touching, poignant and hilarious. Also, I’ve noticed that the Brits seem to have no problem with male and female nudity or foul slanguage, since every other word outta the kids’ mouths is “fock!”

The show is also somewhat existential. I mean, what’s the point of it? Or is the point that there is no point, and we’d better enjoy our lives ‘cause it’s all we’ve got (ala Torchwood)?

If anyone else is watching, let me know and we’ll like totally debrief.

P.S. I L-U-V Cassie! (Even though she’s got more issues than a magazine stand).

Raindrop @2: you should have seen them in the old days. I remember when there were NO doors on the stalls, which still didn't stop the junkies and cocksuckers. Try taking a dump with no stall door when the guy in the next stall over is slumped unconscious onto the floor, or rhythmically thumping the side panel and moaning. That's why the doors are like that; so they can quickly see how many legs are in there. Those bathrooms are, believe or not, far more pleasant now than I have ever seen them.

If there's one timeless, irrefutable truth that we can cling to in this world or madness and lies, it's that nothing will ever stop the cocksuckers.

Nothing!
