Actually, guys, you never struck me as conservative. Correct, sure, but conservative? Reality Check schtick over the top occasionally, sure, but conservative?

Maybe that's just me looking at Slog through my moderate liberal lense, and you guys are aligned with my viewpoints on most things. Or maybe because we live on the same street. Yeah.

I know what you mean, though. If I had the keys to Slog I'd probably write about:

a) condo whiners are a bunch of pussies with no concept of how their neighborhood got to the state it's in now
b) miles per gallon doesn't mean shit if your scooter has terrible emissions (and yes, parking stickers stolen off of scooters is actually kind of comical)
c) assertions supported by actual statistical analysis rather than cherry-picked shock stories

that is kind of the point though isnt it? the relative comparison to us and slog makes us look like Barry Goldwater. I don't think I am especially conservative in many regards but the amount of crap that gets pushed here in regards to macro economic theory, relative standard of living comparisons, and a few other money related issues just makes me seem way right of everyone.

I'll be too busy at work on Friday to Slog during the day, but I look forward to some entertaining reading with a bottle of my favorite beverage on Friday evening.

The FA Cup this year is great. I might even watch the final, and I rarely do if Arsenal isn't involved. The romantic in me wants it to go to Barnsley, but Arsenal's retirement home by the sea also gets some kind thoughts from my direction...
