2008 Meanwhile, in Further Signs the Campaign’s Gone On Way Too Long
posted by March 24 at 14:18 PM
onMaureen Dowd is running out of names to call Hillary (“little girl” and “Mommie Dearest” are just so overplayed), and she’s starting to crack. This week, Dowd compares Clinton to the Terminator: “Unless every circuit is out, she’ll regenerate enough to claw her way out of the grave, crawl through the Rezko Memorial Lawn and up Obama’s wall, hurl her torso into the house and brutally haunt his dreams.”
Seriously, MoDo? That’s all you’ve got?
Meanwhile, Erica Jong might want to rethink her choice of words in calling Clinton a “beaver” and Obama a “stallion.”

She could always quit.
Well, with George Romero being the shadow Zombie Campaign Manager for the undead Hillary, we know that her regeneration powers are unlimited.
Until...
She encounters the king of the Undead, John McCain, who will mop the mauseoleum floor with her.
Those are all better analogies than saying HRC is in any way presidential.
Actually it was Hillary's aides that called her the Terminator. Dowd cites them.
I like to call her the Energizer Bunny. She just keeps banging that drum and you want to throw things at her, cause it accomplishes nothing, other than making it noisy as heck.
Let me see if I can think of a few things to call Hillary:
Loser
Has-been
Former Presidential Candidate
ECB Look-alike
Dowd compares Clinton to the Terminator:
"The Clintons run for office... it's what they do... it's all they do!!!!!"
Yep, time for Hil to count the votes, and then politely hang it up. Time's up.
Anything else she might do from here on out only enhances McCain's odds of victory in November.
ECB wouldnt have anything to talk about today if Dowd wasnt writing.
I'VE HAD A HORRIBLE VISION of the US Supreme Court deciding who gets the nomination after the Democratic National Convention ends amidst allegations and controversy.
I actually think it's a pretty good analogy.
you do realize you're writing about how boring, predictable, and repetitive maureen dowd has become for like the 5th or 6th time this year, right?
Yet Maureen Dowd never writes about how boring, predictable, and repetitive ECB has become.
Who has the moral high-ground, here?
@13 - oh, snap!
Thread over. Napolean has hit this one out of the ballpark.
Yeah, it's hard to come up with new names to call someone who is behaving like a complete piece of shit.
In order of offensiveness:
1. Bill's disparagement of Obama's patriotism
2. The Bosnia visit "under fire"
3. The 3 AM commercial
4. Hillary praising McCain
5. Geraldine Ferraro
6. Bill dismissing Obama as "Jesse Jackson" (who never held elective office) in S.C.
7. The Hillary Florida/Michigan switcheroo
8. That bald-headed freak all over TV today talking like a Mafiosi saying Richardson is being 'unloyal' to the Clintons.
I supported Hillary in December, thinking Obama didn't have a chance. Since, Obama has proved he has more than a chance, a better chance by far than Hillary, and her campaign has shown its mendacity again and again.
How can anyone support the Clinton campaign at this point unless they are a Rushhead hoping to win McCain the presidency?
heh heh heh
THE sign that this campaign gone one too long is that the person with the fewest votes, fewest delegates who has lost the majority of the contests has not conceded yet. fuck clinton for this destructive bullshit.
for someone who regularly "hils" and "modo", you are in no position to make fun of someone else's nickname for a politician.
Does the Stranger pay you by the whiny word?
Seriously, ErBar? You still flogging the Clintons? That's all you got?
Erica's right. Maureen Dowd is a Judas to her gender.
Frankly, I think Dowd is subtly plagiarizing another self-hating woman columnist, one Peggy Noonan:
Frankly, I think this comparison is grossly unfair to Hillary. I mean, for God's sake, Rasputin proved not to be invincible after all.
Your right. MoDo should just call HRC what I do: a liar.
None of these guys dropped out before the convention in July of 1960. Sorry to belabor the obvious, but some of you are due to collect a clue.
