Our society has created a bunch of rules about sex that don't mesh well with male sexuality. Of course, they don't mesh all that well with female sexuality either. Not that you can have both. We seem to have chosen neither.

But, I would also guess that being a woman politican means having to conduct everything under more scrutiny than your male counterparts, as there are probably more people out there willing to rip a female politician to shreds than a male.

Whether that means they become better at covering their tracks or if the drive to succeed under constant criticism simply outweighs the need to diddle around, I'm not sure.
