How can the Obama people give the Repulicans ammo for the general against HRC?

More media Obama huckstering here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080229/pl_bloomberg/a_wg4hpi71wu

The headline?

Gay Clinton Backers Defect to Obama, Eroding Her Base

The article quotes one person switching to Obama.

Also:

In a New York Times/CBS News telephone poll conducted Feb. 20-24 and released Tuesday, nearly half of those respondents who described themselves as voters in Democratic primaries or caucuses said the news media had been “harder” on Mrs. Clinton than other candidates. (Only about 1 in 10 suggested the news media had been harder on Mr. Obama.)

I haven't got time time read before the end of my computer time... I've voted Democrat before and I'll vote Democrat again... I don't trust the rhetoric of the Big Radio Rushes Like Limbaugh and I'm perfectly well suited to say that.

Good luck and hope you get yopur chance to solve Healthcare.

Funny, a bit sophmoric but funny. Kinda on the level of what you would hear on Stephanie Miller.

Bashing the candidates... is this change we can believe in?

Let me guess, "Hillary does it too!"

So follow the "status quo" in policy and tactics? And this will win over her supporters for the general election how?

This 3 am shit, just remember Hillary started it and Obama is going to end it. We want a candidate who is not looking to start a fight; we want a candidate who is going to end a fight. Obama is just the candidate we need.

It's one thing to preach to the choir, but there is a risk others will hear you too.

While I could go along with turning my children Muslim, "If you can't beat them join them" they do have us outnumbered, and it's morally better than nuking a quarter of the world, but why does he want to punch a baby in the face?

McCain may be a decrepit old closet liberal, but at lest he doesn't want to punch a baby, so I guess he gets my vote.

I love that SNL makes one joke about Obama getting favorable treatment from the press, something that even his most strident supporters admit, and now they're the bad guys. With the race card dropped on poor Fred Armisen.

I hope this Obama revolution is more a Abby Hoffman and John Lennon and Jack Kerouac type of event, not a Robespierre and Lenin and Pinochet affair.

SNL are the bad guys because they haven't been funny for ages.

As a strident supporter, I don't admit that Obama has gotten favorable treatment at all. I've heard the talking head repeat Hillary's talking point about experience, endlessly.

What the Clinton campaign doesn't like is reality - the reality of 11 election losses in a row and most of them by huge margins. They don't like Obama coming from 20+ points behind in Texas or Ohio, either. They don't like losing and the way they've dealt with losing is Bush Sized Doubleplus Bad.

I can't wait until Tuesday when Obama takes Texas and Ohio (with Vermont and Rhode Island thrown in) and this bickering among the Democrats will be over. Then we can focus on the important thing, which is how to beat McCain in November.

Endorements from the Rank and File:

Oh, that's right, they are all dead or dismembered.

What on earth is that suppose to mean? Are you mocking their sacrifice, or do you just think and endorsement from Oprah means more then from people who've given 20, 30 and even upwards to to 40 years of direct service to this country's welfare? I don't focus on the military just because supporting the troops is a popular thing to do, I'm focusing on these endorsements because they actually are relevant, especially in concern of her current ad, which raises the question of who should handle the crisises of our nation.

Why should I take any "flag officers" opinions any more seriously than anyone elses?

I'm tired of all this war drag. Fuck it. It's just expensive and stupid. Let some other country do the bossing.

Wow... seriously? I'm... really surprised by that answer. I mean, while everyone has opinions about the direction of this country, the economy and the war being top issues, I'm continually surprised of how "experience" has been insulted and watered down to almost no value. Yes, merely having experience is not the deciding factor. Neither are endorsements. But to some degree, the opinions of experts in certain field do factor in a something legitamit to note.

Ryan, you may want to get your spell check fixed. The correct spelling is "legitimate". I would take you more seriously if you could actually compose a legible sentence.

Moving on, remember that we are electing a president, not an absolute monarch. So Obama doesn't have military experience. Neither does Hillary, but never mind. What is preventing whichever candidate becomes the nominee from selecting a VP who does have a military background or expertise? Also, if the Democratic candidate wins in November (likely if Obama, not a snowball's chance in Hell if Hillary) the new president can appoint a team of advisors and cabinet members to help shape policy on national defense as well as a host of other issues. Neither one of them will be doing the job alone.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaha!!! I take it all back. You are hilarious after all.

They don't like losing and the way they've dealt with losing is Bush Sized Doubleplus Bad.

Fuck you, you oversensitive douche, for comparing a good Democrat to President Bush. You are unfunny AND a dumbfuck. Clinton hasn't done *anything* inappropriate in this campaign, and if you think her tactics are Bushian just fucking WAIT for the general election.

"After two tours in Iraq with the Marine Corps Reserve, Steven Vickerman tried to resume a normal life at home with his wife, but he could not shake a feeling of despair.

"His parents, Richard and Carole Vickerman of Palisades, went to visit him at a veterans hospital after he suffered a mental breakdown; they were in disbelief. The funny and adventurous baby brother had become sullen, withdrawn and full of anxiety. Vickerman, who was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, killed himself Feb. 19."

Carole Vickerman told the reporter: "We're still in shock. Our son was a proud Marine. He served his country honorably, and we don't know what happened to him."
