i'm already calling at least 2 "rasmussen is a republican pollster" before 15 comments.

Rasmussen's not Republican. But they're also not terribly reliable.

But I see that Hillary's "me or nobody" approach seems to be working. Lovely.

You’re talking about US America, right?

I mean, Preznit Caligutard can’t even speak in complete sentences and we elected him TWICE.

All McCain has to do is start screeching about exterminating the Mooslems/Messicans/Homos, and DuhmeriKKKans will be falling all over themselves to vote for the fuckah.

It's freakin' MARCH!!! Kerry was kicking Bush's ass at this point in 2004. You should be watching basketball right now, not polls.

Don't blame Hillary - that's thanks to Wright, pure and simple.

But Hillary's numbers have dropped, too, right? That's not Wright's fault. Jesus, this country's insane. I hope we get Batshit McCrazy for president.

but rasmussen is a republican pollster.

there, @1, with your comment that's two.

but, really, rasmussen? polls?

February 03, 2008:
"In California’s Democratic Presidential Primary, Barack Obama now holds a statistically insignificant one-point lead over Hillary Clinton. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in California shows Barack Obama with 45% of the vote while Hillary Clinton earns 44%"

now how did that turn out?

Feb 5th:
Hillary Rodham Clinton 51.9%
Barack Obama 42.5%

they called it!

I'm far more concerned by the polls that showed 92 percent for the two Dems going down to 90 percent for the Dems among possible Dem voters.

Way to kill the party, Hils!

Clearly, McCain's comments about (Shiite) Iran supporting (Sunni) Al Qaeda in Iraq illustrated his expertise on the subject and resonated with Joe Sixpack.

This is reeeeeally early to be worrying about such polls. Spare yourself the heartburn, Dan.

bullshit.

polls are useless in general, and it's a little early to go nutsy over this.

How is this supposedly HRC's fault? She told Wright to say that AIDS was a plot to kill black people? Nice double standard you... Obama... supporters...

OK, HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO BUILD A RIGHTEOUS HEAD OF STEAM WITH THOSE HOT HOT HOT SNORGTEE MODELS DISTRACTING ME FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE BROWSER?!?

I can't even remember my name right now.

After seeing McCain make that claim about Iran training al-Qaeda to send into Iraq, I can't help but wonder: since when did being a Republican presidential candidate become synonymous with being ignorant of foreign policy?

At least we can look forward to four more years of hilarious gaffes! (McCain will need to work on his timing, however, to truly compete with Bush)

See, this is why I don't buy the "long Dem primary = more media attention = benefit for the Democrats" theory. It only works if the Democrats get positive attention or at least bash McCain, rather than merely sniping at each other.

Fuck. I still want to know where the anti-McCain 527 is for me to donate to.

obama is going to kick old man mccain's butt and everyone should act like it. this blame hillary crap is more andrew sullivan nonsense.

@7,

California had early voting, so many people cast their ballots long before Obama started rising in the polls.

Polls just over 7 months away from the Election really don't tell you much. We still have a long way to go till November, that give politicians plenty of time to screw up and for polls to change.

Wait until the Dems start campaigning against him.

Reread what you wrote in your post, Dan. That's more likely the kind of thing that's to blame.

It's still way too early...but there is an extreme arrogance I've never witnessed before by some so-called progressives that is turning off a lot of people who would normally identify as progressive, like...um...ME. Independents who were impressed by Obama are sick of the holier-than-thou mudslingling and probably switching to the other side.

McCain will be our next prez if people don't start checking their egos, stop bickering and face the reality that the popular vote means nothing without Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. Clinton has a much better chance against McCain than Obama does in a matchup in all 3 states. She leads McCain in Ohio now. Experience, voting records and policy positions are irrelevant at this stage of the game. And politics is all a numbers game, unfortunately. Did we not learn anything from '00 and '04?!?

And, it's in these states, in this game, I believe, Clinton has the better hand.

Please stop eating your own before you end up sobbing in front of the mirror, pawing at it, while saying, "Whyyyy? Oh God, whyyyyy?," when McCain takes office.

Just a thought. Smooch.

Is March too late to hope for a miracle?

McCain..oh puhhhleeze. The only thing missing is the Texas accent. There is absolutly nothing new here. Four more years of mess it up, deny, deny, deny. NOOOOOO.

Hillary, well, lets just say she's a little lefter, and a lot angrier than McCain, but I don't think she's offering much that will gain my vote.

Obama, I'm not sure about yet.

I am disturbed by many of his supporter's tendency to refer to the middle class as "six pack joe" and "Archie Bunker types" As though you had to be prefer a nice Pinot Noir, be of mixed race, and at least have questions about your sexual preferences to have a valid opinion.

My experience has been that "six pack joe" is usually well informed about the issues and tends to be more conservative in his thinking, not stupid, or even apathetic, just with different concerns. If it makes you feel better, blame the beer, but that kind of ignorant, condescending crap isn't getting us anywhere.

Isn't there someone else? Anyone?

When Napoleon was marching on Moscow, the Russians shot everybody that was running around screaming, “We’re doomed, we’re doomed.” Makes sense in an 18th Century kind of way. How does this transport to today? FOR FUCKS SAKES SETTLE DOWN AND HELP US GET RID OF HILLARY FIRST DAN!!!!! Serious, we need to get the wolf out of the hen house before we can organize the hens to vote out the old man. I wish libs were more than meek fucking hens.

Why exactly does everybody blame Hillary for the whole pastor Wright thing. What I'd heard was that the sermons were posted on the churches website, was this incorrect?

Not that anything at all happened between 03MAR2008 and 20MAR2008. Unlikely that anything might happen between 20MAR2008 and... NOVEMBER!??
