That menu is seriously lacking when considering Boom noodle's distance. 8oz. “snake river farms” wagyu beef burger sounds delish. Hmmm...

Quinn's is a nice place, but they sure could stand to offer a few more menu choices for vegetarians. Even the frites come coated in a veal demi-glace.

My life - for a simple inexpensive BLUE COLLAR meal! Seriously, I need to move out of capitol hill, you people are killing me with your tres chic arrogant vegetarian cock food.

Did they pay for that Slog post or are you eating there for free?

Yiao, if it helps, I hate vegetarians who eat-out.

I can not afford $11 lunches every day. Should I move out of Seattle?

@7: Go out once a week, and pack a lunch on other days. An occasional lunch splurge shouldn't break the bank.

Can we just get a taco cart up in here or something? SO POOR.

That place is fucking delicious.

The service lags and the food is overpriced. Do we really need to hype the Belltown-style joints on the Hill?

The grilled ham & gruyere is great. It makes me want to purr.

I agree with @8. Brown bag most days, and enjoy an outing once in a while.

Quinn's is awesome and I felt it was worth the money the 2 times I've gone, but WORD UP Ari. Why is there no taco truck on the hill? It would do so well. Set up outside of Seattle Central?

No mention of the fact that lunch does not come with table service. For those prices, that's a complete joke.

Must be nice if you can afford it occasionally. I'm sure it's good stuff but I don't trust a $13 burger.

@13, when don't you agree with @8?

This other place is so so.

Not a beer drinker, and scuse the caps.

Taco truck? How about Guaymas next to QFC. I have a huge burrito that was $8.50 and it's easily two meals. And there's a salsa bar. And it fast and authentic. Nowhere to park a taco truck anyway.

@17: I started to type something exactly like @8's response before I finished reading the comments.

Does this make me a bad person?

I got food poisoning there last week...seriously. I would not recomend it.

@24: hardly. @8 had a great idea about lunches. that wasn't my point.

I also got sick after eating at Quinn's last week. I drove all the way in from Everett to meet some friends there for dinner. Two of us spend the remainder of Friday night puking and shitting what was a fairly tasty but over priced dinner.

I'll never go back, especially seeing how someone else got sick there the same week. Must be poor hygiene in the kitchen because my food was cooked thoroughly.

For a contrast, i've eaten at just about every Taco truck in the region and haven't gotten sick yet.

Psh. Maybe I'm just right most of the time.

@25/29: I got sick after eating there three weeks ago, but my friend shared the entire meal and did not.

I think maybe it wasn't food poisoning but the fact that my American stomach wasn't prepared for French fatty goodness?

Basically, I am saying "I got sick after eating there and can't wait to go back."

getting sick at Quinns - gosh - can't wait

and I pay too

Lisa/Mr. Poe--

Is this Aislinn/Will thing a Slogger commenter injoke? Please tell me it doesn't have anything to do with Barack v. Hillary.

Posted by Dawgson | March 17, 2008 4:19 PM
34

@32: Dude, I'm saying maybe I and the other two commenters over ate and that's why we got sick. Next time I plan to practice moderation in both spending and consuming.

And if I end up puking again, I can only hope and pray it will somehow be all over you.

Posted by Dawgson | March 17, 2008 4:25 PM
35

@32: that must have sounded better in your head, right?

@33: it has nothing to do with politics. it was an observation of Will's ongoing admiration for Aislinn.

@30: see above.

Posted by lisa | March 17, 2008 4:39 PM

@33: Nothing to do with Barack v. Hillary. Will and I disagree on that.

No, I believe Lisa is noticing that Will is rarely, if ever, critical of comments I make on Slog. I'm just saying that shouldn't necessarily be counted as a fault against him :)

@39: Food poisoning is one of those things that's usually self-diagnosed and often a way to deny personal accountability. i.e. "Even though I ate really poorly and drank two bottles of wine, the reason I got sick was because I got food poisoning from the restaurant! I am a victim!"

I had one bad experience out of three. No one else *I* know has ever gotten food poisoning there. All of this leads me to believe that delicious "Duck Duck Mousse" before "Braised Porky Belly on a bed of Butternut Squash Risotto" might be an irresponsible choice on my part and next time I should start with a salad instead.

Anyway. I think it's a great restaurant which is actually incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of the food. It looks like a pub but it's actually hiding the perfect gourmet dining experience for those who don't want to deal with the pomp and circumstance usually associated with high-end food.

Quinn's?

So what if its got a great location.
Ever had a partially full beer taken away from you when the table is cleared. Well...you can enjoy that experience here.

...and not the food is not that great. Six Arms, Crave, Eylsian, evens Dicks taste better in my mouth than Quinn's! Dig It!
