At Roughly the Same Time Olbermann Was Lecturing Hillary Last Night…

posted by on March 13 at 11:06 AM

…Pat Buchanan was screaming at an Obama defender.

I’ve never seen Keli Goff before, but the way that she snaps the word “Pat” at Buchanan, as though it’s a very filthy cuss word, after he tells her to shut up, makes me love her.

Pat Buchanan was screaming at an Obama defender.

Uh, actually that looked more like two liberals completely steamrolling Buchanan. I mean, sure, he told her to shut up, but fuck sake -- she was totally trampling him.

Not that it's not his karma to get trampled, and I'm happy to see it happen, but I don't see how you view that clip as him "screaming at" her.

Paul, that's the only thing that makes you love her? Because, wow.

Obama people getting touchy - I think they thought Hilary was going to fold and are getting campaign jitters, which of course Hilary is counting on.

" Goad the opponent" it is called.

Who gives a fuck about Utah.

Judah: Well, it's the closest thing to screaming I've ever seen Buchanan achieve, and I think it's probably as close to screaming as his raisiny lungs can muster.

Levislade, you cheeky monkey: Let's not objectify the nice lady for her hotness. Let's objectify her for her mind.

@3 Oh Christ. Yes, Obama people getting "touchy" about racist comments, they just shouldn't be so sensitive.

Florida re vote on the horizon - will tip big time to Hilary -- wow -- what a campaign.

And, the American banking system is about to melt down, wonder what that means in this mix?

Gold almost at 1,000. - oil over 110. - dollar in free fall - possible 11 trillion of worthless real estate paper in our banking system. How will this crises tip voters?

Dan Abrams is hot.

Hillary will most certainly lose the general election if she somehow cheats her way into winning the Dem nomination. She has so alienated legions of Dems with her despicable tactics, that she doesn't stand a chance in hell if she gets the nomination. Additionally, conniving her way into the nomination will effectively destroy the Democratic party. All the young people who have flocked to Obama will stay at home and you can be damn sure the black voters will stay at home or leave the party altogether. If you have not seen the Olbermann rant against Hillary lasy night, it's a must see. he is voicing the outrage many of us Dems are feeling toward Hillary right now (http://youtube.com/watch?v=x2hh9WjV2cQ ). To think I once respected her and would have voted for her....

Todd, I am mixed race. It is TRUE Obama has moved people of color to political action like never before in American history.

And that is big time OK. It is certainly not his only appeal, as we all know by now, he is brilliant. And his campaign has been brilliant.

Trying to dictate the exact discourse in a hard fought race like this is not possible. And of course Hilary is the first woman to have an honest run for the presidency. So sexism in in there as an issue as well.

I agree, everyone is getting touchy.

@8, I agree with you. I'm one of those AAs on the verge of completely giving up on the Democrats. My family feels the same way.

The polls just don't bear out your anecdotal evidence. Right now Hillary is polling even with Obama nationally.

Buchanan was rude but she never answered the question and kept talking over him. She lamely said that in early polling Hillary led in black votes. She was rude plus.

ABC news has a story about Obama's minister that would be banner news for Hillary. The Rezko trial would be big news if it was Hillary. Obama has not been hit yet.

McG, where AAs are concerned, don't believe the poll numbers for Hillary. If she needs us to win Ohio & Florida, it won't happen. She'd better peel off support from McCain to win. And, I'm beginning to hear within the AA community that there will be a protest vote. Meaning that AAs will vote for McCain rather than stay home. It will ensure she loses.

I was distracted by Rachel Maddow's face, it was a different color than her neck.

@9,

African Americans have been spurred to political action like never before? Sure, right, whatever.

Horray for Keli Goff for putting Buchanan in his place. I am sure Buchanan would like to return to the past when women, especially women of color were expected to act with deference to men, especially white men. Welcome to the 21st century Patrick.

@7: Dan Abrams is not hot. I'd do Buchanan first for only one reason: The pictures and their subsequent distribution.

If Geraldine is correct, why didn't the hypnotic Obama wrap up the nomination early and is already debating... GOP Candidate Alan Keyes?

Fitz - are you arguing that AAs are lying on the polls and saying they will vote for Hillary but actually won't?

If you told me they were doing the opposite, I'd buy that but not the other.

What would AAs voting for McCain do or prove? The message would be that AAs would only support black candidates?

Maybe gays should use the same approach.
