Investigators found garbage, old tires, broken TVs and pieces of furniture strewn around the Seattle Motor Inn, as well as bedframes propped up on phone books and a "five gallon bucket filled with brown fetid water" stashed in one bathroom. Last week, the DOH also shut down the Orion Motel, just two blocks away from the Motor Inn. According to a DOH spokeswoman, the Seattle Police Department tipped off the health department... the lots are too small to build regular residential. the lots are too shallow. the buildings crowd the street, there isn't any room for a decent setback, no bank will finance and no builder will build decent housing. so it's all auto oriented crap.

to fix it you need deeper lots that will allow setbacks and actual shallow u shaped driveways. to get the deeper lots we have to change the sfh zoning on the lots behind the shallow lots fronting on aurora. so they can be combined. then we can have nicer buildings instead of this crap that is built because we act like it's still a semi rural road to canada a la 1929 or something.
