Emeril, perhaps surprisingly, is a good guy and a dedicated, skillful chef who is undervalued in the market because he cheapened himself with all that "kick it up a notch" and "bam!" bullshit.

Think Martha's going to be inviting him over for a personal demonstration of his "bam!" technique? "OK, Marther, you want the pork fat now?"

She announced the acquisition, though she called it a "strategic partnership" and then they made some duck dish with cherry sauce.
