Comments on Will Huckabee Sue the Washington State GOP?

Our GOP is corrupt even by national standards

Wouldn't he have to sue the WA state Republican party since this was a caucus, not a state sanctioned primary?

Where's Ron Paul on this? He polled within a couple of points of both McCain and Huckabee. Is he talking about legal action, too?

I'm guessing that this is incompetence, rather than malice, but it's impossible to know since the GOP isn't talking (as far as I can see).

@6, the point is that the _STATE_ itself is not running the caucus. A party, the GOP, is. The State of Washington, as a governing entity, has nothing to do with the Caucus.

Vote counts that aren't quite accurate? Quick, someone alert Stefan Sharkansky! I'm sure he'll start investigating this almost immediately.

Ya, I get it. But no where in this post did it imply that the STATE should be sued... It said that Huckabee was looking into Washington State's GOP (or Republican party), which is in no way affiliated with the STATE, as in the governing body.

I'm amazed that the same party that has spent the past four years moaning about the recounts in the Governor's race between Christine Gregoire and the Real Estate Agent have managed to call an election with 83% of the caucus locations reporting. It stinks to high heaven. If there is even the slightest hint of impropriety Gregoire's people will be able to use it extensively in the upcoming campaign against the same real estate agent.

Yes, Esser and company screwed it up.

But the frozen chill is the quote of Huckabee's supporters that " they are praying for a miracle."

My spine is crawling, the Christian right has really messed with their religious purposes.

I hope the devil answers their prayers one of these days. You know, just a giant cackle and some smoke from the corner of the prayer space.

Excellent @14 - Republicans suing Republicans is the best of all possible worlds.

I've doing some research on this, and it appears more troubling than just their stopping the count early...and I think they may be open to legal action.

As I understand it, their caucuses really provided no way to determine a winner, as what was voted on was the person to be the delegate, not who that person supported for President.

The takeaway is that there should be no way for Luke Esser, the Wa. State GOP Chair, to declare a "winner." And, yet, he did. And it probably matters that he declared his prefered candidate a winner on a night that McCain was losing 2 out of the 3 other states already.

Hmmm...the plot thickens...
