Josh: AMEN!!
Nader has already done his bit for king and country. Time to exit with a little bit of grace.
"your"
Seriously, does the Republican Party pay him to run?
Every day I pray that Ralph Nader gets hit by a car. A Corvair, by preference.
When the Democrats stop rolling over for Bush and stop giving in to his misguided policies, then and only then, will there be no need for Nader. Who else is going to talk about how the 2 parties have an agreement with corporate America? Even Kucinich can't speak some truths about the party. I just hope he doesn't draw too many votes from the Dem in the battleground states.
@4, that was really funny. Thanks for the laugh.
I don't get it -- how could Ralph Nader possibly be a spoiler for anything?
Why won't old people just die! We don't want them any more, its our turn!
Nader haters, a serious question for you ... Is there ANY Democratic candidate that you wouldn't vote for?
@ 9,
no. Just like there is no Republican candidate that I WOULD vote for.
@ 3,
Yes, Nader's main campaign contributor's are Republicans because he takes votes away from the Democratic nominee.
If we had instant run-off voting, having Nader run would be nothing but a good thing. Vancouver, WA, has the go-ahead to run their elections that way -- why aren't they doing that?
@11:
Thanks for that link! I hadn't heard of this before, but now I know what my first Daily Kos diary will be about. :)
If people spend as much time trying to court adults that don't vote as they did Nader supporters (who usually... not always... have a better idea WHY they are supporting their candidate than do their peers supporting the major parties), they will be more productive in swaying the election. Nader is not a spoiler unless we get democratic candidates who are easily spoiled.
You know what fucking annoys me every four years? People telling Ralph Nader not to run. Piss off, no matter why you say he shouldn't run.
You know, because usually people say, "don't vote for XXXXXX", not "don't run at all".
The man has the god damn right to run for president. Don't tell me you have the right to tell him not to run because you don't you asshole.
And like what was said above, Instant Runoff Voting would solve this soooo easily, but hey we wouldn't want to stop being fucking IGNORANT and lazy now would we? Fuck, like we could expect the power-loving dems to institute this very democratic form of voting, like the rest of the world.
My dream next-president appointments include Nader as director of the CPSC.
REPUBLICANS FUND HIM WITH THEIR AMPLE BLOOD MONEY, LOOTED WAR PROFITS AND ALL THE REST.
and he takes their money with some jabber shit as why it is ok
what a fraud
but his speaker paid fees will go up, and his offshore bank accounts will fatten
@16 - Republican blood money funds Nader!? What are the Democrat partisans to do when their only support comes from mining rainbows!?
Right on 16!
We used to call people with this sort of staying power "national heroes".
Am I the only one who is scared of the following: Hillary gets the nomination and energizes the right to vote for McCain but mainly to vote AGAINST her. Nader pulls support from "disgruntled" voters who liked Obama....
I hate Nader, I really really do. And just because you have a right to run for President does not mean you should run. Judgement is paramont and clearly Nader has none.
Nader rules!
Barack is confirmed muslim muppet controlled by farrakhan, Clinton is also a muppet.
Mccain is a muppet.
Huckabee, he's pretty damn good! its him Ron Paul or Nader.
