The very fact that someone would agree to be left alone in suspension bondage is evidence for their stupidity.

Greg - Well, he was bound, maybe he didn't agree.

They should shut that place down. People that are into that sort of thing are evil and not the kind of people that you would want to associate with.

Raindrop, they should be shut down alright, but only because they're incompetent, not because they're "evil." There are a whole lot of people who think gay bars are "evil" too. Guess, by your logic, they should be shut down too. Learn some tolerance, man. Your idea of "evil" may be somebody else's idea of a good time. And vice versa.

I'm surprised to see a such a clueless comment around these parts... raindrop, have you ever read The Stranger before?

Just shows the peril of using "Get the fuck out of here" as your Safe Word.

The place shouldn't be shut down, but the incident should be investigated. It does sound like the domme wasn't managing the risks of the suspension wisely. Even if the man's thrill was to be left alone while bound that way, it can be done safely with a blindfold and earplugs to make him feel alone, all while still supervising the scene.

Suspensions of any kind involve higher risks, but many people who do a lot of them get a bit jaded and stop thinking about what could happen during an emergency or an accident.

Let's hope the gentleman recovers quickly, as it would be useful to hear what happened from his perspective.

There is nothing "evil" about BDSM. BDSM should be viewed like a sporting activity where there are risks involved, and those risks needed to be managed responsibly. That doesn't mean people shouldn't do it.

You see, the tie-em-up-and-leave-em approach could be used by couples who differ in their support for political candidates and one of whom who justs want to ensure their partner doesn't make it to caucus for Hillary...

What? Alright then, without the suspension bondage part then...

Just sayin' :)

The place -should- be shut down, for a multitude of reasons. I used to work there. This incident happened on the midnight-6am shift, which is managed by a sleazy guy who brings in his creepy friends as clients. The noon-6pm and 6pm-midnight shifts are managed by mistresses, and have much more stringent rules. I'm appalled that this happened, but I'm not at all surprised that it happened on the night shift, because a lot of those girls are basically just strippers with whips and have no real BDSM experience.
