It is simply not anyones business what I choose to put into my own body. My body belongs to me all the time under all circumstances. Get used to it, control freaks.

It'd be ironic if she wrapped her car around this very phone pole while high as a kite.

What a stupid poster. Looks like another piece by that guy with the big ear muffs and cane who hires the homeless kids to pass out pamphlets on Broadway. He also makes signs that read, "Arrests dentists, not pot smokers," whatever the fuck that means.

The war on drugs is a selective war. Many drugs we can get by walking into a store and buying them over the counter if we are of age. See how the right wing has taken control of the arguement, and you didn't even notice.

Agreed.

However, mean and stupid people are not limited to drug warriors. You might not believe this, but I even know some mean and stupid people who take drugs.

If I drove while high I would deserve to be arrested. I do not drive even if I took just one puff of herb let alone any booze. Most users are responsible and would not endanger others while stoned.

@#11 Yes this would cover my right to take RU-486 without consulting anybody but my doctor. They are both issues involving individual choice and self-determination.

the war on drugs is as useful as the war on terrorism - and just as costly to society.

Both are founded on lies and do nothing useful for society as a whole, other than waste tax dollars and lives.

Apparently drug abuse causes one to lose one's punctuation marks, capitals and serifs.

It's also stupid to call it the War on Drugs.

That's what THEY call it.

How can we make progress if we don't even name things ourselves?

Try this: Prohibition creates black markets profits and a culture of violence to keep them. Prohibition is a War on Our Communities and People. Repeal will lower violence, lower the social andpersonal ills caused by drugs, and reduce the power of the drug profiteers.

Every time we think or say War On Drugs -- they're winning the pr battle.

Pls. make a note of it.

How about the War on corner liquor stores and cigarette stores?

What? You mean those much more addictive drugs are legal?

Are we just talking about weed here? Or are we saying that crack and heroin and pcp should be legal to use as well?

Just asking.

@26 Is this a playground. Thinking the war on drugs is crap doesn't mean you advocate legalization.
