Exxon and the others set their prices based on what they can get away with, and people will pay $3.50 a gallon. They'll pay more, too. And they should. Gas should cost $6 a gallon, and if I was Preznit it would start costing that tomorrow. Of course, the difference would be tax, not profit; but you'd all pay it; if necessary you'd knife your brother or your next door neighbor to get to it, too. You're hooked.
