I will now predict Texas is going for Obama.
The Teamsters was the last piece of the puzzle, exacerbated by the flood in NoLa that caused so many to move from Louisiana to Texas. Many of them never went back.
Ohio ... don't know.
I called Texas based on the demographics of the delegate allocation. Black districts have more delegates than latino districts thanks to quirky Texan rules. also, quirky and texan are redundant adjectives for rules.
what does the panic button unleash?
I dunno--panic?
Really, the Democrats just need to get with the program and acknowledge the inevitability of her ascension.
No point in denial. None at all.
Hillary should stay in, just in case Obama screws up. And because the next two debates are going to attract a TV audience to Democratic issues. Each time Obama wins another state, it's big news and it gets him out there in a way that he wouldn't be if Hillary dropped out. Look at how little anyone cares to watch McCain rack up the remaining states now that the contest is over.
The panic button releases a gaggle of PR hounds targeting Obama's plagiarizing of the particles "furthermore" and "nevertheless".
@3 I may unleash her unholy tag-team aliance with John McCain.
By backing her into an electoral corner, her shitty campaign and strategies have backed her into a rhetorical corner as well.
Watch tomorrow she too starts attacking Michelle Obama with doctored videos and sound bites, and their pets.
@6
That's hilarious. Obama the particle plagerizer! How can he be president?
Do you feel that SEIU and the Teamsters really believe that Obama's stand on labor issues is better than Clinton's, or that these important unions are picking whom they feel will be the winning candidate? Obama and Clinton have similar stands on labor issues, though Obama touts his opposition to NAFTA.
Hillary should stay in it, but she needs to quit with the negative campaigning. It's not working and it is hurting the party.
I realize this is kinda nitpicky but . . . the "AP article" should be described as a "political column by an AP reporter," as the editor's note at the end makes clear: "EDITOR'S NOTE — Ron Fournier has covered politics for The Associated press for nearly 20 years. On Deadline is an occasional column."
One AP reporter saying Clinton needs to hit the panic button is not the same as the AP saying it - although I agree with the analysis.
@3 -- the Flying Monkeys, of course...
The fat lady ....
#3 + #12 = Donna Shalala.
I completely agree w/ elenchos@5.
as one of the slog's most outspoken pro-hillsters, you're taking all this quite well, sven. you haven't by any chance drank any reconstituted powdered beverages in the past few days, have you?
I vote for the flying monkeys. But only if they wear those cute bell caps.
Well I completely agree with #4.
So there.
The Teamsters? Does this mean that Mark Penn is going to have an "accident?"
