They're not our Sonics anymore. Nice to see Brent Barry is back to circle the drain, though.
Oh my God, they're having a FIRE!... sale.
These deals are excellent. Presti is stockpiling draft picks and expiring contracts while getting rid of veterans who would be gone byt the time the team is competitive. They have 6 1st round picks in the next 3 years to add to Durant, Green, Collison, etc... Celebrate, Oklahoma City.
Actually I like these moves. Thomas and Szczerbiak are not part of this team's future, and unloading their contracts makes sense. You need salary cap space in today's NBA.
The question becomes: What does Presti do next? But so far these are the right moves.
I'm guessing the Spurs want Thomas to guard Shaq in the playoffs. Words fail me.
I think Presti is doing a good job. The kid has a plan. Oklahoma City is gonna be great in a couple years.
SAM!!! Go help them sell stuff!! Could be a job for you!!!! :)
It's a cogent strategy: trade out the current team, creating cap room, a stockpile of first round picks, and a couple years lottery position.
And make Seattle sorry we tried to enforce teh lease.
i am happy for kurt, delonte, & wally.
they deserve better than to have to play next to bob swift.
Yeah, they're acquiring as many draft picks as possible, which will pay off once the team arrives in OKC.
This is the exact reason that I don't want any type of Cleveland Browns type deal when it's all said and done. If we have to suffer with this team, we deserve the spoils when they are kicking ass in 5 years.
