I'm going tonight. I haven't been motivated to shell out the big bucks for PMB in over a decade, but everything I've seen/heard about this production (save the above comment) indicates the show is amazing. Kudos to Peter Boal for making PNB vital and relevant again!

"Tu te dépêches"

but

"Dépêche-toi."

French is hard. Not even French people can spell it.

Don't forget-- the score by Prokofiev is one of the great ballet scores of all time. It's worth it just for the music.

(I'm going tonight, so I can't comment on the performance.)

Geez, Annie – Can’t you say something nice about a performer without having to diss another one, particularly when you admittedly HAVEN’T EVEN SEEN the other performer? I’m glad you loved Ariana Lallone as Lady Capulet, but why do you need to go out of your way to tell readers to AVOID the performances featuring another dancer in the role? Unlike you, I have seen both Ariana and Louise Nadeau in the role, and I think they’re equally strong; Granted, I’m the pr guy for PNB, so of course you can’t trust me as far as you can throw me, but most of the dance critics attended opening night and saw Louise as Lady Capulet, and she got several good mentions, so I’m not alone. Would it have killed you to have just praised the performer you saw and leave it at that?
