If Obama can bring back the dead and heal the sick in a consistent and reliable way, then, yeah, perhaps he is a messiah. Otherwise, I take the more reasoned approach that he is only a super being who traveled back to our time from the future.

Only conservative Jews are (liberals see "Messiah" as a metaphor for the return of the nation of Israel).

Two points about Christianity:

Jesus will return as He left (skyward). Just as He ascended into heaven, he'll come down, and as the lightening flashes from the east to the west, so will the Son of Man be in His coming. The Incarnation was permanent, and it wouldn't happen again.

The next "messiah" would really be the anti-Christ. He's likely to be much more popular than Obama, far more Charismatic and far more religious. Like Obama, he would be very comfortable with religious/spiritual imagery and metaphor, and he would excite people, but all people (not just the young). At his core, you know the anti-Christ because he is, well, anti-Christ, and presents a false image of Jesus and/or defames the name of Jesus (and/or sets himself up in the place of Jesus).
