Charles,
If you have never voted in your life, you should be ASHAMED. You don't deserve to write another word for any publication until you start participating in our democracy, as flawed as it may be.

Damn, dude. Get a clue.

Charles, are you eligible to vote? You were born in Zimbabwe, right, so I am assuming you must have a greencard but not citizenship and that's why you haven't voted (?) Or am I wrong on this?

My partner is also a greencard-holder and I know he can't vote until he becomes a US citizen.

Well, Charles may not be able to vote here, and in Zimbabwe, the electoral choices are rather limited.

I'd like to hear more about that brick factory.

How about seen Megadeth live? I think all Stranger staffers should go on record regarding this question. If ECB is the only one, you should all be ashamed.

So.... I guess the question I have is, have you been eligible to vote (either here or in Zimbabwe) and chosen not to? Or, have circumstances/citizenship conspired to not make you eligible to vote until now?

I must admit, if you've been eligible and have chosen not to, that's pretty shocking to me.

You were a member of a radical Marxist group? YOU, Charles? No way anyone could've ever guessed or suspected that ;)

julie, there was no need to vote in zimbabwe. a member of the mudede clan rigged the elections for mugabe. as for here, i was only eligible to vote a year or so ago. now i have to get into my blood that which has never been in my blood: the election fever.

"Are you a have or a have-not? Well, if you're a have-not, you've probably had it, whereas if you're a have, you've probably got it, and are going to give it away sometime in the future."

Alright, folks, name that quote!

(Hint: Heavy-duty Marx connection)

1. That Charles hasn't ever voted so makes sense and is consistent with the Stranger's political philosophy, given their love for lobbyists, which Josh proclaimed in this post.

Charles believes that voting is immaterial, and that the Stranger embraces lobbyism is consistent with this belief, since what is the point of voting if lobbyists decide public policy?
