Project Runway: Penultimate Show Tonight

posted by on February 27 at 16:22 PM

I know it’s getting hard to care enough to watch Project Yawnway… but we only have two episodes left; don’t bail on me now, TV friends.

Tonight’s agenda: “In Part 1 of the two-part Season 4 finale, the finalists gear up to showcase their lines at Fashion Week at Bryant Park in New York City.” Perhaps we’ll know who of the final four get to show?

Megan Seling will host the LiveSlog tonight starting at 10 pm. See you back here then.

Christian looks really pretty in that picture... also, I want him to win. And, I want Chris to make it to fashion week, not Rami, even though the former contestants' "predictions" last week seemed to imply that Chris wasn't a major player.

Aw, for fucks sake, they're splitting it in half?!

We all know Christians going to win, is there really any need to drag it out..?

wait - all 4 DON'T get to show? then why are there 4 left at this point?

and WTF is "Bryant Park" anyway? 4 seasons in & I still don't understand why I'm supposed to be impressed by that.

Chris, god love him, is the weakest link.

Actually, all FIVE (including Sweet P) showed at Bryant Park.

The 2 losers just don't get their collections shown on tv.

Rami and Chris supposedly tied in the last episode, when two were supposed to have been aufed but only Sweet Pea was. The idea is, they're both supposed to prepare for Bryant Park, but before then (tonight) they're going to put their three best looks against each other as a kind of playoff.

I'm worried about Rami, because I'm convinced the show's producers forced the tie, because they like him. I think his work last time was grossly inferior to Chris's, but they fixed it to give him another chance. Which makes me think they're going to fix it again. The judges don't really have final say; the winners and losers are selected "with the producers' input".

Max, Bryant Park is the park behind the New York Public Library in midtown Manhattan where New York Fashion Week is held. It's the biggest fashion show in the country, with tents set up all over the park, and all the top designers, and the top new faces, show their looks for the following season. It's a big deal; Project Runway's tent is just a relatively small part of the action.

Okay, I watched the episode tonight (I'm on the East coast)...I didn't realize until halfway through that the season wasn't ending til next week.

But I know who is going to fashion week! :-)
