When liberals fight liberals, we all lose.

Maybe the Hilary people are on to something!

their new campaign push should be "Obama will fuck it all up just like Bill did"

Is it "plagiarism" or the same empty rhetoric we have been spoon fed for the past oh ____ years.

"Change" will come once we start doing more than casting an electronic vote or posting on Slog.

How many times we gonna hear from detractors that someone did it, said it, or gesticulated it before Obama did?

There are only so many formulas available. It's not like Nirvana made up Verse, Chorus, Verse.

@4: Like hanging out on highway overpasses with banners?

the best part about 9/11 truthers; even if they are right, what are they gonna do about it? nothing, and like it.

exactly ziggity, they are going to post 9/11 truth signs all over telling me that my government lies to me. shit, I know the government is a big lying pile of shit and we're nothing but kernels of corn in it.

@7 - But they did make up the whole quiet/loud/quiet thing, right?

What Obama did wasn't plagiarism because Patrick consented.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it only plagarism if you don't have permission?!?!

God, that was boring.

Don't you guys have something better to do, like point out that Clinton won in some county in our state among people who grow grass for a living?

@3

How did Bill "fuck it up"? Last I checked he was the only president in the last 20yrs who was able to balance the budget and have a budget surplus.

I am trying so hard to care about this. Doesn't everybody know that all political speeches are basically plagiarized from Tacitus, anyway?

Posted by Greg | February 20, 2008 10:13 AM
17

Oops, I meant Cicero. Tacitus only wrote one book on oratory.

Posted by Greg | February 20, 2008 10:19 AM
18

And he probably plagiarized it from Cicero in the first place.

@15, you can thank newt for busting his balls to do it.

Yes, yes, let's get all caught up in the minutiae while the NeoCons and ReligioRight plot their next moves. There are so few differences between the two Democratic front-runners, this is what the "primary" campaign is devolving to.

Can we please get back to the issues and start fighting McCain? I think supporters of Obama AND Clinton would rather hear about how each candidate plans to beat Grampa Munster instead of this silly circular firing squad of nerf-darts.

Good call, Andy.

I think the problem is the pundit class, the MSM media types like the Strangerites, are just in shock they can't scare us into voting for Clinton and McCain.

News flash: We have brains. We have souls. They're ours to use. Not yours.

Agreed, Will. A vacuum needs filling, and four or five cable news channels, each with twenty-four hours to fill daily, HAVE to find stories and in the absence of something new, stir shit up or repeat and dissect the Current Kerfuffle.

But is the Stranger really into MSM? :)

Posted by Andy Niable | February 20, 2008 10:56 AM

@22: Not sure what the first M is for, but otherwise yeah, the Stranger is totally into SM.

It's all so fucking tiresome. I didn't care that much before, but now I hope the Clintons lose big! Sure I liked the economy during Bill's reign but was terribly embarrased by how he abused his office with Monica. Yes, Hillary is so much more experienced by having a spouse who cheated on her... does that make her ready for day one as president?! I suppose she'll know just what to do when her "first husband" has free reign and will cheat again! God, I'm so sick of this! We should be beating up on McCain, not fellow democrats.

@22 - well, they dabble with it.

Now, a good SLOG would have cool articles on the Moon, maybe a Lunar Landing thing, tie in pics from the underwater plants and animals found near Antartica, and riff on that.

But, all reporters got into it because they want to become pundits. It's their goal. Show me a reporter and I'll show you a pundit in larval stage.
