O They Will Know We Are Christians By…

…our billion-dollar tax fraud.

A former senior accountant at Oral Roberts University alleges that more than $1 billion annually was inappropriately funneled through the school.

Trent Huddleston claims in a lawsuit filed Thursday that he discovered an “unrestricted” account used to funnel “unusually large” sums of money through the university each month—which would exceed $1 billion on an annual basis—that wasn’t used for any legitimate university purpose….

[Huddleston] also claimed that he was directed against his will to falsely list thousands of dollars as expenses rather than assets—which were spent remodeling the home of Richard and Lindsay Roberts—in order to defraud the Internal Revenue Service and other agencies.

I guess he'd endorse Huckabee in order to put a "going out of business sign on the doors of the IRS"

*snerk* dumbasses.

So this means the "University" will be shut down and anyone with a degree from there will be totally discredited and laughed at by all, right?

Right?

Old news, but what the hell. Richard Roberts obviously thought that he owned the place. Easy to see how that could have happened.

You guys crack me up. Oh, BTW, I wonder if, in keeping with the family tradition, Dick's son is named Anal.

I read that the school is getting a huge $72 million dollar bailout from a local right wing arts and crafts mogul (sounds counter intuitive, non?).

What a waste...

I absolutely LOVE this. It is a shame, though, that here we are in 2008 and people still buy this shit. How many times does this have to happen before people realize it's all bullshit?

#10, I read that the war costs around $200 million per day...So 9 hours roughly. Yikes.

I hope someone does some more investigating. It'd be interesting if Huckabee's McCain's VP pick and we find out that some of the funds have been going into Huckabee's pockets. Basically completely unravel the evangelical movement thread by thread at their own doing.
