Damned if I know--I think it's gotta be either a video game, or a religious movement.

This post was *SOOOOO* confusing... And that link was written somewhere in bizarro world. It was far too boring to read.

My first guess is that its some kind of gamer nerd bullshit... I'm gonna Google it and see if I can't find a short synopsis of wtf this is about...

I love Wikipedia:

"Second Life (abbreviated as SL) is an Internet-based virtual world launched in 2003, developed by Linden Research, Inc (commonly referred to as Linden Lab), which came to international attention via mainstream news media in late 2006 and early 2007.[4][5] A downloadable client program called the Second Life Viewer enables its users, called "Residents", to interact with each other through motional avatars, providing an advanced level of a social network service combined with general aspects of a metaverse. Residents can explore, meet other Residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, create and trade items (virtual property) and services from one another."

HA! I was right! Stupid gamer nerds and their stupid recession. I hope they all starve to death in their retarded virtual world.

@9

Hardly any actual nerds go to Second Life. They're too busy raiding in Outland to bother chatting with sexual deviants and pedos. Most Second Life users are the kind of people who can't get into most video games and like wandering around cybering more than wandering around killing mobs.

@10: Thank you for correcting me...

But what then is the backbone(r) of Second Life's economy???

Hookers? Cyber-hookers? Oooo! Maybe Cyborg-hookers?!?!?!

Sweeeeet... I need to get me on Second Life! I could single handedly revitalize that economy!!!
