As a lifelong Giants fan, I enjoyed the game immensely. I was worried that it was only we G-men fans that thought it was a great game, apparently it was just plain GREAT.
I admire the Pats team, cheating scoundrels that they are. They had an amazing offense, but they were made mundane by the Giants defense and their game plan. I didn't expect the Giants to finish on top, but as impressive as their defense was all game it would have been a shame if the Pats squeeked it out in the end.

On the ads, the Coke add near the beginning with What is Love and Chris Katan at the end was pretty good.

The eTrade ad with the talking baby and the Clown was pretty funny. 'I wasn't anticipating how creepy it would be' LOL.

LOTS of really bad ads though. Sadly everyone remembers the SalesGenie ads and most importantly, their name - that was the whole point.

It was the football gods. It was retribution for cheating against the Jets. Talk about cheating just for the hell of it.

How else do you explain Eli Manning not being picked off in that final drive? Even the pass to Burress I was shaking my head thinking that it was a floater and a sure pick. Escaping the sack and then Tyree catching the ball with his head - what?

I just love that Belichick got so out-coached. I don't think a 4 quarter blitz game plan is sane, but the Giants executed one and the genuis could not adjust, for 4 quarters? The advantage the Giants had on both lines, it probably wouldn't have mattered.

Still, one team was prepared and well-coached, and one team showed up to get their trophy. If you were riveted by the fact that the cocky Pats that everyone picked to win had lost hope by the fourth quarter, then you don't have any interest in football.

Nonetheless, Brady is still the best QB bar none. I have no respect for that stunt with the cast, but his balls were melon-size last night.

Brady's injury was legit, because he was definitely hobbling on his dropbacks, and his throws were falling short.

If that Manning scramble and that helmet catch by Tyree isn't replayed on all-time highlight films, like the Immaculate Reception is, there is no justice in the world, because that catch has to be, given the context, at least one of the 5 greatest NFL plays of all time. It wasn't just a great play, it was a great play the Giants absolutely needed, on a drive in which they absolutely had to score.

Monumental upset, and I've even stand to place it up there with the Joe Namath Super Bowl win in terms of context. No one gave the Giants a chance in hell of winning this game, and they did, in dramatic fashion.

I'm glad I watched. I almost didn't.
