My Friday Obama’thon, in Photos

posted by on February 8 at 19:34 PM

From his appearance at the McKinstry Company in South Seattle

…to the 18,000-strong army at the Seattle Center, people young and old were pumped. Obama’s a rock star. Or a tabloid celeb. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like it.

Might want to use a real camera next time. Or maybe a photographer.

But if you support Obama, it means you hate Hillary and - by extension - all womyn

Why is Obama consorting with Emperor Palpatine in Photo No. 3; and with Palpatine and Jabba the Hut in Photo No. 8?

^Because he loves everyone back. Awesome rally.

It was a lovely rally, and on the heels of Hillary Clinton's visit a great chance to compare and contrast. Beyond the man himself--and, purr, what a lead photo here Ms. Harrop!--what struck down deep for this shopworn Dem was a whole bunch of people credibly displaying wholehearted optimism. Though I don't share their faith yet, I'll stand with them and caucus for Obama tomorrow.

Look out, Rat Pack! Obama looks as smooth as Sammy Davis, jr. in the first shot.

The guy on the left in that first welding mask photo looks like Wheels from Degrassi.

What a rally! Cold and wet outside, but it was still inspiring!

Yeah. I can see that the world needs a US president who gets young people pumped because he is like a rock star.

He looks healthier since he stopped smoking.

Seriously #7, why is a vote for Obama signify that we hate all womyn? Does that mean Toni Morrison hates all womyn, too? http://www.observer.com/2008/toni-morrisons-letter-barack-obama

"Does that mean Toni Morrison hates all womyn, too?"

Yes. Womyn who vote for Obama are surrending to internalized patriarchy and self-hate. They are also over-competizing for the inherent racism of Capitalism.

Oh my god @19, are you for real?

I think suspending your ability to use your intelligence to form independent thoughts and judgments to vote for a candidate based soley on the fact that she has a vag is about the most dangerous (and ridiculous) thing a woman could do.
