I never see celebrities anywhere. I have family in Manhattan and I'm there a lot, but I never see celebrities there. My friends go once and see loads.

Wait, actually, I did see a celebrity once in London. One of the guys in McFly was shopping in Covent Garden when I was there having a coffee with my mom. The English teenage girls next to me freaked out.

I used to see tons of celebrities in New York. The only celebrity I've seen here was an actor from Grey's Anatomy. It was neither McDreamy nor McSteamy and certainly not my personal savior, Sandra Oh.

I wish that was me.

I did see Gary Locke strolling around Westlake with his kid once, though.

You really need to get out more, Gary.

That said, I've never actually seen Sandra Oh.

My Seattle Celebrity Encounters:
1)While performing duties as a CS Rep, I spoke to Lauren "Julie McCoy" Tewes. She was very sweet and I pretended I didn't know who she was and didn't ask her if she is the cheese cutter at QFC.
2)Saw Chihuly driving a little sportscar.
3)Sold Les Nesman (WKRP in Cincinatti) a ticket while working at SIFF.
4)Savage, CONSTANTLY, all over the Hill.
5)Titan porn stars and locals, Dred Scott and Jon Gault.
6)Mark "mom" Finley

I've seen Bill Nye, who totally counts. Also politicians, and the occasional local indie rock legend. I count Stranger staff as celebrity sightings, as well, but that's just me.

Bill Nye is great. He's a nice guy.

Much more fun than a lot of other stars.

Oh! I was hoping that Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green were reuniting for the sequel (or prequel) to "Party Monster" -- damn!

Celebrities come through here all the time... especially during SIFF or if they're up in Vancouver filming.

My husband thought he saw Anna Paquin last night, but he wasn't sure.

I gave Mom Finley tea at a house party of mine once. Not saying what kind of tea.

Rick Steves hoola hooped in my backyard last summer.

Other than that, I got nothin.

While I'd like to think I'm too cool to care, I'm a hypocrite. Seeing the Fonz in Vancouver was the highlight of my life.

I have to actively seek out celebs for...
book readings/signings-
Charles Cross
Maggie Estep
Greg Palast
Movie Q&A-
Adam Sandler with director of "Punch Drunk Love".(while working at the Cinerama)
A SIFF opening movie-
Fisher Stevens also at the Cinerama.
At the Science Center Imax, I think I saw an old TV game show host, forget which one, and Dale Chihuly...and who has NOT seen chef Tom Douglas? I haven't seen Dan Savage yet, but would love to, I've seen Francis Sternhagen(she played Carter's grandmother in ER) in a New Rochelle, NY Macy's...and I'm pretty sure I saw Kevin Bacon walking down a NYC street once, does that make me part of the "6 degrees of Kevin Bacon Game" now? ;)
