Mitt Romney was against defeat before he was for it.

Jon Stewart ripped this speech apart last night on The Daily Show. Would have been funnier with writers, but the speech was pretty much hilarious all by itself.

Nice try, but Republicans are simply incapable of comprehending irony or hypocrisy, and Mittler is particularly shameless.

(Matt Romney is still worth a hate fuck, though).

I hesitate to draw a simplistic conclusion because simplistic conclusions are easily dismissed, but Mitt Romney is a clueless jerk who has had enormous luck in business. Of course, he's everything the American corporate world adores in a person: single-minded, driven, conservative, looks good in a suit. The assumption that he'd be able to take those strange talents and convert them into the wisdom needed to lead a country of very diverse people with diverse needs (a country which isn't a business comprised of subservient underlings) is faulty logic.

Here's the only good thing about Romney's campaign: It's over....for now.

I still can't get over the fact that dude spent $35 million on his campaign.

What a staggering waste of money.

I LOVE that pic!

Also, yes, good breakdown on A Daily Show. Mitt Romney: total douchbag.

That $35 million went somewhere.

Sigh.

I really need to become a campaign consultant.

Or an arms dealer....

I agree, A Daily Show nailed it.

Meanwhile Canada has already started the countdown clock to pulling out all troops from Afghanistan by July 1st, if we don't send at least 3,500 troops now and more soon after.

Hey, is Mitt packing that fudge, there? He looks like he's getting ready to pack some fudge. I didn't know Mitt Romney knew how to pack fudge. I guess when you've got as much experience fighting the terrorists as he has, fudgepacking comes easy.

What a loser. I hate the evangelicals that can't for a minute even begin to imagine that there are people without faith in God. I have been told so many times that "oh, no, deep down, you really believe".

That statement, "I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror" is just more Republican bullshit. Romney dropped out of the race because he was being mocked for spending $1 million per delegate - not a very smart move. After that, even a member of the Criminal party could see that the game was up.

My favorite part of last night's 'A Daily Show' was the interview the gay-basher. The interviewer was trying to figure out why the interviwee was so worried about gays.

Asked him if his own marriage was currently in trouble because there were gays around. Of course NOT! What a ridiculous question.

Asked if he was having problems because he wanted some of those hot gay men. Of course NOT! Even more ridiculous question.

Interviewee obviously had no idea how absurd he sounded... Oh well, those of us watching sure did!
