Dudes!

I missed the debate, but my brother Chris, who's a conservative gay Republican (no, I'm not joking), now thinks that Obama may be the best choice for President after watching tonight's debate ...

WOW!

So, chalk up another one that McCain lost and Obama won. A victory for America!

When do we start offering predictions for Obama's running mate? Well, here is mine however unlikely it will be:

Gore Should be the VP Choice for OBAMA!! Why you ask?

He covers Obama’s blind spot of inexperience and lack of foreign policy experience AND if something “god forbid” happen Gore is the only person on the planet qualified to step in as President. For Gore, this offers the best platform to work on issues relating to global warming and let’s face it; Gore’s chances of running for the White House are pretty much gone for good. The polling puts Obama over McCain which means at least one term for Obama and the automatic nominee for the Democrats in 2012.

VP choices Dodd, Richardson & Webb, if it's Obama. Either of them would be a great counter to McCain on foreign policy matters.

Has anyone actually checked out Barack Obama's tax return? I have...(and I know what I'm looking at.)

I find it funny that he'll release it - but without the details that corroborate the numbers. The Clinton campaign would be wise to bring up the veritable lack of transparency that it presents.

@ David, Clinton has not released their's is why they will not mention it.

Sorry Will in Seattle. It is your name, but I'm not in Seattle. I'm in St. Louis.
And since The Stranger and SLOG have much more intelligent readers than anything written in St. Louis, I'm reading/participating here.

As to Obama's VP:
I cannot rule out Hillary yet. But, my vote is for Richardson. If you saw the earlier debates, he was the most knowledgeable on foreign policy and was more likeable than the other choices y'all have mentioned.

As to McCain's VP:
My guess is Matt Blunt, current governor of Missouri. Mark this down. I mentioned it here first.

@3 - Dodd obviously. Or Richardson.

@7 - ok, you're forgiven, but it's polite to say who you are the first time you Nick. Welcome Saint Louis!
