Gregoire to Endorse Obama

posted by on February 8 at 8:30 AM

Got the same call. Gregoire will be at the Obama rally at Key Arena today. No other conclusion to draw but that our governor will endorse Obama.

Well, that settles it. Go back to your regular television viewing now.

my friend heard that barack won't actually speak until 2:30PM; this substantially impacts the planning of people like him who can't take lunch from 11-4 . has anyone heard anything similar? can anyone verify?

Looks like I was wrong! This is one case where I am happy to be proven incorrect. Nice going Gregoire.

I'm giving my seniors extra credit if they cut school and go to the rally today. Don't matter if they're left wing or right wing (a surprising amount of my students are right wing evangelicals), I just think it will be a great experience for all of them.

Would be funny if she endorsed McCain with Obama standing there. HA HA HA HA !!!

Wow, that was genuinely surprising. Not terribly significant, IMHO, but still surprising.

Good job on calling that endorsement, SECB. Oh, wait.

Rotten: Good job on abusing your position of authority to help your candidate of choice. Keep at it.

From the downtown Obama Office: He starts speaking between 12 and 12:30. Rally starts at 11. 2:30PM rumor=false

I bet you the 2:30pm rumor started because someone forget to type a "1" in front of "2:30"

I'm currently on a 74 bus insanely packed, mostly with students skipping class (this is the bus that passed through the udist and heads to the seattle center). The bus run after half hour and the bus reached capacity in the udist. Dozens of waiting people have been driven by. The driver contacted metro hoping to get an extra bus or two on the route.

What a whore. She's a traitor to her whole gender!

Ahem. That is to say, that's awesome. Besides, does anyone really listen to Gary Locke? (Did anyone ever?)

Totally sweet!

Don't worry, from past experience, arrive by 11:30 to clear security, speeches start at Noon, figure 1 pm is end of critical speeches/endorsements but lots of sign up stuff after that.

I'm driving (bad bad eco man ...) but it's a time thing.

There's a billion people here in line already. Lot of the youth vote (aka the "yes we can...skip class" crowd).

Grrrr.... I can't leave work until close to 11! I hope I get in... Its killing me knowing I should be in line right now!

@5: that is terrible. you should give extra credit for a student going to ANY one of the presidential candidates speeches. to offer credit for obama only is an abuse of power, if not illegal.

Doors are opening at 10:30am. An organizer came by to tell us that earlier.

I thought everyone in Seattle hated the Governor?

I think she blows, Sven. I didn't want her to endorse my candidate, but that's what happens when you're surging ahead. All the riff raff jumps on the bandwagon.
