Slog - Comments on Finger Liking Good

From Slog tipper Brian... The ballard KFC has had chicken misspelled on their sign for nearly a week now. I'm entertained. I wish I would have taken a picture of the coagulated fat on top of the puddle in their parking lot during the last freeze....

It's not misspelled - that's Chiken (r) - a patented genetically engineered chicken-like bird developped in a joint venture between Monsanto and the Department of Defense in the 90s. The fast growing featherless birds with easily separated joints seemed like the perfect solution to in-theatre food production, but during Desert Strom it was discovered that they were very susceptible to heat stroke and th patent was licensed to KFC.

@3. Yeah, I know. But they actually have a giant bucket, which makes me nostalgic. I used to live across the street from a KFC with a *rotating* bucket when I was a pre-schooler. I would fantasize about getting a ladder, climbing inside and going for a ride, a la the merry-go-round at the county fair.

After experiencing alcohol-related bed spins in college, the same idea still makes me feel nauseated...

KFC is to actual chicken what pollack-based "krab" is to actual crab. I've often noted the paucity of the pigeon populations in the blocks immediately surrounding all KFC's. I think "chiken" is just a code word for "pigeon."

this slog is really full of liars and sheeple

most every body in America eats the chicken a few times a year.

and really - two thighs and a biscuit with beans are cheap and a fast lunch

and offers the same nutrients as stuff costing 50.00 at snotty places that take an hour to deliver any food

forgot I have to spend my millions where it is hipster approved - sure - and I love plain yougurt, no sugar, and cottage cheese spooned from the store container, some added salt and pepper

oh god, so not chic

Should have also snapped a photo last month when it said "Thihg" instead of "Thigh" for at least two weeks.

The employees at that KFC habitually misspell words on their marquee either out of complete apathy for their jobs, a lack of the proper letters to use, or a lack of command of the English language.

Something tells me it's a three-piece combo, though.

Is it me, or does KFC universally hire the dumbest fucking people on the planet? I mean people who are too dumb to be Walmart greeters.

I hated going to the FW KFC because the people that worked there were either dumb as a brick, or gross. 1/4 of the time the bag was handed to me with stale chicken grease on the handles. And I really hate the prerecorded announcement on the drive through speaker. I want to make my fucking order, and now.

Thank Frank that placed closed.
