I live in that neighborhood, and its time to drop the wrecking ball on that entire corner. There really shouldn't be any controversy about it - all those buildings are falling down. Good riddance.
Seattle housing market go boom!?
wbrproductions: Do you want more Koahary slums around you like the one at 123rd and 10th Place? Come on, you have to be kidding. Or - are you really Miklos Kohary reading the SLOG and trying to make yourself look good. No one I have met in the neighborhood wants any more Kohary Slumtownhouses. A good developer, yes. Kohary, no.
I hate to disagree, but the reason the DPD asked Kohary about his plans was because I had gone down to the DPD office the day after the "Notice of Land Change" signs went up outside my apartment building. This was around January 19. I spoke with a young woman who didn't realize that Kohary had the signs up. She said they would be contacting Kohary about his "plans." Meanwhile, we decided to go ahead and move out rather than wait for Kohary. I am very concerned about the continuing lose of affordable housing in the town. By the way, there is a group of townhouses across the street from us that are still mostly unsold.
